Title: Spring's almost here! What are your plans for weekend?
Post by: Rman on March 19, 2010, 07:01:48 PM
Sunshine!  Wooh!

We haven't had one of these threads in a while, so I'd like to resurrect the tradition.

Friday-Drinks after work and probably some gaming later.
Saturday-Cycling, running, or hiking, anything outdoorsy to enjoy this awesome weather, and probably some movie in the evening.
Sunday-Same as Saturday. Netflix or catching up on TV shows in the evening.

Friend's birthday is tomorrow so I'll probably be shitfaced all of Saturday and then nursing a hangover with some Etrian Odyssey or Starcraft 2 on Sunday.

Not big on outdoors stuff in the spring; been getting the most fucked up allergies ever in the past few years. Cough drops and Benadryl are my best friends from March-June

I bought a new skateboard, so I'll be reliving my high school/college days (and will probably break a bone or two)! :hyper

Tonight: Dinner and a movie with the wife.
Tomorrow: Taking a bunch of stuff to the Goodwill early in the morning, and then working in the yard. Once that's done I'll play Final Fantasy XIII in the afternoon until the wife comes home. Watching NCAA basketball early evening and then more than likely going out to dinner with friends.
Sunday: Not sure.

3 day weekend here  :elephant

Saturday so far has been: woke up at 6, played Mass Effect 2 til daughter woke up at 8.30, then took her to the neighborhood park and ran some errands.

Next we're all headed off here for food/park:

http://www.tokyo-midtown.com/en/

It's basically a shopping complex but the shops are all insanely high-priced boutiques that no-one ever goes into. Because of this it's not crowded and we get to enjoy all the awesome facilities. Some great food to be had too. We usually hit the bakery and have a picnic in the park.

After that, god knows. Weather looks to take a nosedive after today.

How is Seattle in spring?

My mid term goal (2 years) is to move there.

It was absolutely beautiful today. We get a lot of rain in the Spring typically. Our Summers are incredible, though.

Saturday: Beach and reading, followed by LOTRO
Sunday: Pop some of the spring rendition of Blue Moons and some oranges, chill in the sun.

Spend 1 or 2 days every weekend at my parents house packing up their shit so they can sell it and get divorced.
This is week 2 of me helping out...

At least another month to go. Fuck boring.

My parents are in town for a couple weeks, so I've been doing a probably awful job of showing them around.

It's been glorious all weekend here besides last night's freak typhoon-like weather. My friend's car was shaking in the wind while we were driving.

Thursday night: Dinner at some izakaya on the 52F of a building near me, win views, win food, inexpensive. :rock

Friday: Did a bus tour through Tokyo, went to TY Harbor for lunch and dericious beers, wandered around Shinagawa for a bit. Had dinner at my favorite neighborhood bar / restaurant, which coincidentally has my favorite happy hour encountered thus far. ¥300 Heinekens from 5-7 PM and 3-4 AM. :rock

Yesterday: Yotsuya, Akasaka Palace, Selan lunch fail, Two Rooms lunch, beer, Aoyama, Omotesando, Harajuku, Tokyu Hands, Takashimaya, dinner at Windonald's like a fatass (separated from parents), house party, drunkenness, crazy typhoon weather, drunken scooter ride back to apartment probably a poor decision in hindsight. :rock

Today: Brooklyn Parlor lunch, :rock family arguments :rock, Shinjuku, cancelled dinner, pondering walking to Park Hyatt and getting housed :rock

Going to Kyoto tomorrow!

No problem, I'll try to put a list together sometime soon here. Also, please clarify the range for "cheap," that would help narrow it down a bit. :)
