The UK doesn't have a lot of stuff to be proud of, like us. They got James Bond, Harry Potter, and the Magna Carta (inspiration for the popular videogame), and that's pretty much it.

however:

the entire katie sidestory was almost completely pointless and wasted too much time. She doesn't even factor into the movies endgame at all. The only infulence she has is to get kick ass to the drug house and that could have easily been written a different way to exclude her.

That said, the last 40 minutes or so (specifically the last two action sequences) where fantastic and made up for any of the films shortcomings.

Fun movie but not memorable or anything. Kick Ass himself brought the movie down. Nic Cage was top notch though. And worth seeing alone for the Hit Girl fights. But it is not something I am interesting in seeing again.

I saw the movie after only having watched the regular trailer and ended up hating the film (I don't read or care about comics).

It had some funny moments at first and then it just got really dark and sadistic.  I thought it was supposed to be funny.

There is a lot of that in the movie it sometimes goes way too far. The hot popular girl in high school would not say "those early Steve Ditko Spider-Man's are really good!" or talk about how much she loves Scott Pilgrim.

Yeah, that's absolutely distinguished mentally-challenged.  Pretty much all the changes to the movie version were for the better.  The comic tries so hard to be ANTI and step on your balls it's just kind of "alright, I get it already.  This is lame", the movie turns it into something enjoyable that you walk out of the theater with a smile and your balls don't hurt.

The only bad part about the movie was the

jetpack and that was because the CG was super terrible cheap and it looked like a shitty superhero movie

  Otherwise great film.  100x better than The Watchmen movie, and better than  3/4ths of the superhero movies and probably will be better than Iron Man 2.

Bebpo, I agree. Iron Man was just shit. I don't think I'll watch IM 2 either. Will wait for dvd on that one.
Trailer got me hyped though, but then I just remembered its the same Iron Man Favrue or whatever did, but with more robotic suits.

I hope Iron Man flops *fingers crossed*.

Also agree with Fistful on this one. They should have cut out all the Katie shit. Useless.All the more reason for me to want a sequel about Hit-Girl.

Iron Man 2 wont flop lol. It's tracking to do 160 mil opening weekend. It and Toy Story 3 will be the biggest movies this year, no doubt.

And I have ZERO hype for it at all. The first was fun thanks to Downey but not a great movie. The second looks way too over-loaded. There are like 3 bad guys instead of 1 and 3829842 sidekicks. All of these additions almost always ruin super hero movies, especially when the first one was entertaining only for Downey Jr and now there is like 100x the amount of characters to shuffle around.

Plus I have no faith in Marvel Studios. Their entire plan of rushing everything out  fast as possible just to do the Avengers and have everything be inter-connected is bringing about the stuff I hate about comics and why I don't read them to the movies.

I sorta agree with Willco, but I enjoyed the film nonetheless. It definitely felt Tarantino inspired at the end of the film. Thumbs up for that.

It was okay. The last 30 minutes wa fucking non stop awesome. The rest was like that smart-ass guy in Philosophy who thinks he 'gets it'.
