$12.99?!?!?
Square is distinguished mentally-challenged. First they charged $10 for a FFXIII image gallery and then this.
-
$39.99 inferior DS games
bring it on bitches

$13 is less than a game on pretty much every other platform except for like Steam, PSN, XBLA type stuff. I know most iphone games are cheap, but this looks like looks worlds better than anything else on the platform.
anyway, the game looks awesome. I have an ipod touch now but I'm gonna be dramatic about it and wait for that leaked iphone to be released before I play it.
was there even a topic about that? some guy stole a prototype iphone and sold it to a blog for $5k. looks super slick.
also, splinter cell conviction for the iphone looks pretty crazy. wasn't there an iphone gaming thread? I'm so lost

it's hard to go back to any rpg after ff13.

This actually looks pretty interesting, and leagues ahead of the drek I've seen for iPhone (typical iPhone user LOVES to show off their product and the games for it)...
too bad I can't stand Apple nor do I have any interest in buying an iPhone. Hopefully we'll get a PSP port.
-
Game is ok. The production values are nice and better than most DS/PSP 3d rpgs.
It eats your battery though (kills a full charge battery in about 2 hours) and the game is slow (though playing it on 3GS might speed it up since the framerate is better). You can barely get a dungeon done in one full battery charge.
I can see myself playing a little here and there, but I doubt I'll ever finish this. Still interesting enough to warrant $13.
-
2 hours is eats about 45% on a 3GS. try turning off environmental effects to see if it goes faster (didn't make a difference on my 3GS, but I kept them off because I like the cleaner look.)
-
I want it so bad, but I fucking hate iTunes and by extension using an iPod.

Actually I was going by the benchmarks stated for the 3GS version in the gaf thread. Maybe it's a bit better than the guy there was saying.
I got bored in less than an hour in so I can't tell how the battery life is on the 3G version.

just played some more, it's around 25% an hour. ::)
