Eel, I have a question. What sort of equipment do you guys use for this? I'm thinking about doing a podcast with a few of my friends during the summer about all things entertainment, and all I need is to figure out the mic situation.
-
just microsoft lifechat™ headsets, skype, and a skype recording program called pamela
we use audacity to each record our ends of the conversation, then i use the pamela recording as a line track and align them all in audacity
lately, though, between audacity problems and dropped connections, i've just been using the pamela track

Only 27 more 'casts to go before a star is born.

Thanks

Cannot wait to listen....just got an Asus G73jh last week after my G60 went belly up.
-
took me forever to figure out what the fuck a ROG was. You can't go around saying shit like that when a new street fighter is about to drop! :maf

:bow laptop that looks like and SR71 and plays Crysis on High :bow2

God damn that laptop is insane. I wish Asus's island keyboards were as good as the macbooks but still, they're pretty good. Island keyboards ftw. Was thinking of grabbin their ultra portable ul80vt but maybe I'll pick up a desktop replacement instead :lol
-
:bow ROG BROS :bow2

God, that laptop looks sexy. My brother actually has a RoG laptop because of my recommendations due to this show. It's the one a step above Kevin's/Doug's old one but not Doug's new one. It actually has a white finish and it looks pretty badass.
The crime is he actually uses it for college mainly and to play WoW occasionally. No Dragon Age or anything else.
-
By the way, I don't think you can do it with the 1, 2 or 3000 series PSP but the guy who says y'know a lot wanted to play PSP games (peacewanker?) through the PS3 with his PS3 controller. You can do this with the psp go. Funny thing is you can't just connect the controller to the PSP via bluetooth directly, they force you to use the PS3 as an intermediary :lol
-
That laptop plays Crysis on high? wow
-
That ASUS rog costs $3100 here. :-\
And shops send machines back rather than dropping them past a certain point.
-
Show just isn't the same without Fragammemnon. :(
-
it was mostly me, i was not feeling very energetic that night
-
Nah, it wasn't meant as a ding against the show, I just really love the banter between the three of you. Hope he comes back soon.
BTW, I really loved your film noir reviews in the last one. I'd already seen The Hitch-hiker (and agree with you on it, mostly...for those of us who grew up with stuff like The Hitcher, the Hitch-hiker is kinda boring). Have you seen Humphrey Bogart's High Sierra, btw? Directed by...Raoul Walsh, I think, and starring Ida Lupino who directed The Hitch-hiker. It's a really good gangster movie (tho my favorite Bogie gangster movie is The Roaring Twenties). You got me interested in Quicksand, I think I'll look that one up eventually.
I'd also recommend Nightmare Alley as far as film noirs go. It's a fairly dark film noir starring Tyrone Power as a carnie who basically steals a mentalist's act and does some really shady shit...don't wanna spoil it too much, but it sounds like the type of movie you'd dig.
I'm probably gonna download the Madballz: Babo Invasion demo based on your thoughts on it. :lol
-
yeah, it's a bit lonely in the virtual booth without frag. he will return soon!
madballs was my completely unsuccessful salvo in the cheap n shitty games war the podcast has been having with maf and each other. basically, if something-- ANYTHING -- goes below $5 on steam, maf gets it for the podcast, or someone from the podcast gets it for the other folks, just to be shitty. unfortunately, babo invasion turned out to be good. iron roses, on the other hand, was totally the borecast's pearl harbor :'(

i should watch that show
-
So I got penalized for my "having said that"? :'(
Congrats though to the winner. I too like Folks Gettin' Cozy. Can we find out now what the package was?
Great show, btw, although the ending could have used a little more editing.
-
package contained:
Kane and Lynch
Infernal
Mount and Blade
LOTR Online
Vanguard
most of these were unopened, stuff i bought out of super-clearance bins
Frag gave me a steam copy of Mount and Blade, Kane & lynch and Infernal both came in that Steam "Eidos complete" package, and i figured i was probably never going to play LOTR or Vanguard
