Na. Message him back something patronising like 'it's ok maybe next time bud'. Narcs suck, humour is better.

I just blocked him or something. I wasnt even being that cheap really, he put his level 78 character up against my level 33, I did what I had to do to win! He was just a butthurt sore loser.

I'd take that over the voice memos I get from people playing MW2 wanting me to pony up 1600 MS points to join some tournament or something. Half the time I can't understand the mumbling. But I get at least 1 every time I play.

:lol man thats why I dont play those big games online. Im assuming the average MW2/Halo player is some type of distinguished mentally-challenged fellow nerbo

I once sent a hate message to someone who beat me in Tekken Tag Online. I was pretty mad. I usually don't do that.

It almost doesn't matter what game you play. I've gotten relatively few hate emails from COD 4 or MW 2 yet I've received racist emails after beating somebody in Peggle.

Somebody also sent me a picture of their anus in Texas Holdem.

I honestly find hate emails fairly funny. I kinda look forward to getting them.

I file a report on people who kick ass. I dont think it does anything in the long run, but I feel good.

It takes a certain number of complaints before a person is banned and even then its only a temporary ban. And since practically nobody does it, its a fairly toothless system.

I report people all the time. But its for legit stuff. It's like a fun game for me but it almost never has any true effect.

I bet you jerked off to that MIA video, Thirst.

I came four times. The video is almost 9 minutes long. All the gingers :drool

But I didn't like the song very much. Guess I'll have to get used to it. The track is crazy, even for MIA standards.
Can't wait for her album, though. Her best tracks are usually the ones that get not released as a single.

Is there a system where you can leave positive comments for people who behave like a regular human being? Maybe give them some sort of achievement for being a decent person?

You can leave positive feedback and that supposedly makes you more likely to be matched with that person but human nature being what it is, nobody ever does that.

The reputation system on live is useless but then so are most reputation systems.

I actually message people with positive feedback if they play good. I often write something like u r awesome. or good job, they really appreciate it and enjoy it.
It really makes the games a lot more fun for you and everybody else whether they end up on your team the next round or not.

yeah most of my interactions on XBL have been good, stuff like "good game man" or something. Im kinda surpised that I got my first hate message this late in the game, Ive been playing on XBL since I got my 360 in 2007.

Never sent a positive message.
I just sent something like "I'm sure I can beat you in real life" to the one who beat me in Tekken Tag Online. But he never wrote me back.

I never get hate messages from MW2/Halo 3.  Fighting games are where it happens, especially in Tekken.  With SSF4, the hate spam will probably start up again, but it kinda disappeared from the game for a good while for me.  Seems like most of the real scrubs lost interest and moved onto other games or something.

Any game where you are playing somebody 1 on 1 is likely where you are going to get hate mail because then it feels personal. I use to play a lot of sports game online a couple of years ago and that is where you get a lot of bitter feelings.

Yeah, I do that too. If I've had a fun round, even when I lose I will send a note and leave positive feedback.

Yeah, you can "Prefer this player" on the same page where you can denote you'd rather "Avoid this player." Oddly, the former doesn't require a reason, while the latter does -- and it's entirely separate from "File a complaint." ???

The only negative feedback I have states I quit a session early, when I never do. I guess the butthurt jerks I've just owned so badly they never want to play against me again are unable to file "unsportsmanlike behavior" because it would be overwhelmingly ironic.

While playing some hardcore teamdeathmatch a guy was killing another guy guy that is on his team his team, the guy who was getting team killed raged and started threatening to call xbox live support the next day to get him banned for his behavior, he also claimed that the last guy that he did this to got banned.
After knowing that the team killer didn't care because he is joining the army anyway he went on on a ridiculous rant about the army, marines, Iraq, Pakistan, the tea party and the kofi annan. :lol
