Weak episode. The crazy oil commercial was better.
-

FUCK YOU Cartoon Network Latin America, FUCK YOU :maf

SOMEONE POST THE OIL VID
Weak episode. The crazy oil commercial was better.
I thought it was great. It was a solid critique on the music industry and most particular, modern hip hop.
-
i'm annoyed that it's taking so long for these to show up on itunes
i like however, that they're uncensored when they do appear
-
fun episode. needs more Huey tho'...
-
For some reason when I saw the thread title I read it as "The Boondock Saints 3" and I was thinking to myself holy fucking god no.
-
fun episode. needs more Huey tho'...

yo, real talk, that was an amazing episode. Huey 4 prez :rock
-
The last episode was awesome. One of the best of the series.
-
Ruckus is like the Charlie Murphy of Boondocks. Hope the next episode is Huey focused.
-
nah, the next one is about stinkmeanor.
-
Dammit. I want Huey to be angry and articulate again.
-
Red Ball was kinda crappy. Haven't seen the new episode, hope it's good. I liked the first two episodes
And yes, I miss Huey...talking, doing shit. He seems to speak for the creator so I definitely wanted to hear his thoughts on Obama in the first episode. Although to be fair, the silence kind of spoke for itself
-
Dammit. I want Huey to be angry and articulate again.
It seems he's gonna stick to his guns of not doing shit anymore.
We'll see how that goes in the next ep since it was him who got Stinkmeaner out the last time.

He did say something but that one word was all he needed.
-
HUEY EPISODE PLZ
-
nicca moment+nicca synthesis :lol
-
omg if there is one episode of the boondocks that you should see it's this last one.
-
Yes. That was amazing. Finally someone makes a fool of Tyler Perry.
-
I think Tyler Perry does a job at that by himself.
-
This show completely annihilated Tyler Perry. Holy shit
-
At one point a character says she likes the dude's films because they're positive depictions of black people, no cursing or n-bombs. I've heard that argument so many times about Perry, and it couldn't be farther from the truth. Perry's films are celebrations of black stereotypes. I realize lots of black people do indeed act like the character depicted in his films, hell some of my family fits the bill. But his comedy relies entirely on this shtick, and the works he creates are only dominated by Amos and Andy-esque black folk clowning, and independent women who have moved away from the church only to come back in the end.
-
tbf, the cosby show is nearly too anti-stereotypical. Bill Cosby plays a doctor with a wife that's a lawyer. His kids are smart and bound for Ivy League. And they never say white, they always say Caucasian.
-
True, although I grew up around Cosby kids and become one shortly after my dad's residency was over. When I watch the Cosby Show I basically see my family and many of my friend's families; likewise I can watch House of Pain and recognize other family members.
Outside of some of the creative excesses listed in your post, the Cosby's were a rather "regular" family not specific to any particular race. House of Pain and the rest of Perry's stuff constantly presents a forced, stereotypically black family.
-
:bow PD's dad is a dentist :bow2
:piss but then his Christian mother homeschooled him :piss2
It balances out in the end.
