I used to find it amusing when older white ladies would give me wary looks/clutch their purses as I walk by. One time I was walking up the ramp to my dad's practice, and some chick was ahead of me. She turned around, saw I was behind her, and starting speed walking up the ramp all while casually glancing back at me. I smh and keep walking. Get into the door and the lady is talking to my dad nervously, and then he says"oh this is my son. Maurice, this is our lawyer." smh

Black people remind me that I'm black more than white people because apparently I don't fit into the standard 'black person' model.
My parents remind me every day to work harder than white people because even if you're talented as a black person, you're still black.
When I was 5 I had a "girlfriend", and we exchanged rings (ring pops, cherry flavor), she told me later on that her parents said she couldn't have a black boyfriend. I think that was the first time I realized I was actually different.
I dunno. A lot of things remind me the fact that I'm black.
:lol
I'm like a quarter black and my dads side of the family call us the distinguished black fellows children, do I count?
I remember when I bought Superunknown and the cashier was like wtf :lol
In the South lots of things. Black people and White people especially.
In other parts of the country... By comparison a lot less.
I can deal with black dudes liking rock or whatever, it's the fucking anime fixation that drives me bonkers. It's like, you're rejecting part of your innate coolness in favor of loli tentacle rape.
Yes, it is very apparent in the south but I refuse to believe places like Calfornia or Michigan or Chicago or even NYC which are places that have had tons of racial tension in the past are considerably less racially inclined than the south. California especially.

Theory:
Black people liking certain anime has to do with tribal instinct. "Hey I wanna see Goku punch that guy in the face!" = "Hey, let's watch Mike Tyson cream that guy!" Which is a part of the reason black people like sports and fighting games so much. We like to fight.

According to the one-drop rule (which is how America operates), you are officially a black man.
WHOOOO!!!!
I'm officially a better dancer, singer, athlete, lover and fighter than most of the population! Plus I'm now officially cool.
Yes, it is very apparent in the south but I refuse to believe places like Calfornia or Michigan or Chicago or even NYC which are places that have had tons of racial tension in the past are considerably less racially inclined than the south. California especially.
There are examples of racial tension where ever you go in the United States or on this Planet. Just like I'm certain you could be anywhere and run into examples of it. And I'm sure if I had grown up in South Central where the demographics and ethnic tensions are different my take would be different.
I can definitely tell you however as someone who has mostly lived in either California or the South for most of his life that it is indeed very different. And on average there is far less racial tension in nearly every aspect of life. Which doesn't mean it doesn't exist at all. It just means by comparison it is far less. Especially among younger people.
You've never been to Saudi Arabia I take it.WHOOOO!!!!
I'm officially a better dancer, singer, athlete, lover and fighter than most of the population! Plus I'm now officially cool.
Nope. That only applies to distinguished black fellows in America, y'know brought over as slaves treated like shit and worked all day and night hence only the strong survived resulting in super distinguished black fellows.
I grew up in al-nasariyah dawg, Saudi Arabia's Compton!
They're pretty good at oppressing women and gays, does that count for anything?
-you didn't endure the white mans take on natural selection.-Well whitey thinks I'm a terrorist who blows himself up and
-what sports or sexual achievements are Saudi distinguished black fellows renown around the world for?works for Obamaworships the devil.
-WomenCamels have sexual fantasy's of us fucking them in the desert :smug

In Korea I learned that you can't know what it's like to be a minority unless you are one. I'm not saying my experience compares to a black person's, 'cuz it doesn't. But here I'm occasionally outraged when a taxi driver asks to see my money before he takes me anywhere or when an older Korean tells my girlfriend she shouldn't be boning a foreigner. Then I get at least a small idea for what daily life is like for black people. When it comes to racial stereotypes, even trivialities can be infuriating, and I vastly underestimated how annoying it could be.

so is whitey treated like a minority in S Korea?
I always thought white people were well liked/respected/revered in Asian countries.
I imagine it's a lot worse if you're a man. Then you presumably have no sex appeal to the racists.
