I'll yawn because Nintendo will prove, yet again, that they are creatively bankrupt.Yep just look at Mario Galaxy 2.

Am I being sarcastic or serious? I don't even know anymore :-\
they can put new power but the point is that it still yet another mario gameAll the Mario games were very unique until this generation. Well, except Mario 3 and Mario World, but those were different enough where you could tell which was which. If you show a clip of MG and MG2 back to back, you'd be hard pressed to tell which was the original and which was the sequel.
seriously you guys made luigi mansion! it wasn't a great game but at least it was different! so please try again!

Funny how the games that would be best suited for the Wii remote have yet to see sequels: Wave Race, 1080, F-Zero, and Star Fox. Then again I'm sure they'd copy the stupid flying mechanics of Wii Sports Resort for Star Fox. Who wants to hold their wii remote like a 5 year old with a paper airplane?
TP was the best Zelda ever so I doubt they will top it.No, it really wasn't.
TP was the best Zelda ever so I doubt they will top it.
If you have to wait more than five minutes to play anything at E3, it's really not worth it.
For the first couple hours, sure. Game ramps up considerably after the second dungeon. It's no Majora's Mask, but it's certainly better than Ocarina.I disagree, but I'm not gonna get into a debate over this.
i sure hope it doesn't suck considering it has been nearly 4 years since we got a console zelda.
Yes I will.
Yes I will.
Do bears shit in the woods?
Yea, the idea of wasting an entire day in line at E3 sounds ridiculous. Especially if the payoff is 2 minutes of buggy gameplay while being aggressively watched by Nintendo reps.YOU DONT HAVE ANY CONSOLES
I remember going apeshit when TP was announced and guess what: I still haven't played it.
Yes I will.
Do bears shit in the woods?
Depends on the bear, there are domesticated bears who have been trained to use special toilets.

MotionPlus control doesn't change much.
Zelda stopped being relevant an fun after Wind Waker.

exactly. it'll still have the same items we've all seen in every other game, the same stupidly easy puzzles and combat, the same boring overworld, the same etc
I used to get VIP access to the Nintendo booth because of some charity work I helped them with. Someone would walk me in in front of whining nintards who had been standing in line all day and then kick people off machines. One dude complained so loudly after I got to cut in front of him for SMG that he was escorted out before getting to play anything. :lol:lol
omg drinky

:lol Sorry, I haven't had fun playing a Zelda game since Wind Waker. Twilight Princess was too busy figuring out whether or not it wanted to play itself or make me hate it.
The Zelda series used to be something amazing, but the shit is fucked up now.
If they ever decide to make another Wind Waker, I'm there.
Wind Waker was great but it seems like the same people who criticized Wind Waker pre-TP are now all on WW's jock strap.

I've been on the bandwagon since the game came out.
:bow WIND WAKER :bow2
:bow ZELDA :bow2
One of the reasons why I didn't play WW until so late (2006?) was because of how hated it was at NeoGAF. Needless to say, I'll never trust e-opinions ever again. :lol
WW was flawed, but inspired. TP wasn't as flawed, but it was boring, drab shit that I didn't even finish. The graphics were freakin' terrible in some spots, jesus. I just don't understand wtf TP-lovers are thinking. What part of the game is better than OoT or whatever to make it the best Zelda? I remember this scene where you were in wolf form and there was this other wolf spirit or something, and they both started howling together, and it was supposed to be some grand melodic howling thing that's supposed to move the player emotionally. You know like movies do. I was staring at my television going "What the fuck is this shit?"
I should have known it was going to be shit from then on, but I kept going on. That's how it always is, man. I was like a woman who kept getting beat up by the husband, but stayed with him, kept on forgiving, kept on thinking that ultimately I was going to get a good experience out of it.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Boring As Fuck Contrived Stale Drab Brown Piece of Shit Princess.
Only the boss fights were good, but that's only a small portion of the game. Dungeons were good I guess.
I also liked sailing in WW.
TP had maybe two dungeons worth speaking of. The Temple of Time was a great one, as was the Ice Temple. Outside of that, I've almost completely forgotten the dungeons. I had to YouTube Arbiter's Grounds to remember wtf Himumu was talking about.
the original zelda is what always got me stumbled the most... the hell? this is considered a classic? two annoying looping melody repeated in the whole game and all you basicaly get to do is to poke monster with a stick?
Also, OoT's soundtrack is amazing.Agreed. One of my main complaints about TP is that I don't remember the music at all.
arbiter's grounds and water temple >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> city of the sky
arbiter's grounds and water temple >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> city of the skyyep
oot had shit music and instrumentationI actually remember OoT's music. Some of Wind Waker's too. Therefore, they had the best soundtracks from the 3D Zelda games. LttP was better though.
:piss n64 :piss2
Let it be celshaded without stupid transportations like boat and train please.

We came to a consensus when TP came out that Arbiter's Grounds is probably the best Zelda dungeon DUNGEON in the series. It actually felt like a dungeon!

wtf, The forest temple music still haunts me today. That track is fucking epic and fits the mood perfectly in that mansion. I cant recall a single good track in TP, so if you call OoT background music, what is TP then?
Let it be celshaded without stupid transportations like boat and train please.
What would be a non stupid transportation? No transportation at all?! I loved that boat, sailing around and spying islands, platforms and subs on the horizon was awesome, definitely not too much sailing for me.
I'm looking forward to a new Zelda if only because I'm really interested to see if they can string out the old formula once again and also make something I really enjoy. I don't really rate their chances of that though.
Sailing wasn't all that bad, but there was too much dead space in the ocean. And omg the Triforce fetchquest... easily the lowest point of the game. I stopped playing for a while because of that shit.Let it be celshaded without stupid transportations like boat and train please.

I played a bit of Spirit Tracks at best buy. I had to use a train to get to Hyrule Castle. It was stupid and sucked and didn't feel like Zelda.
Yeah I dunno wtf you guys are talking about saying the OoT soundtrack is trash. The soundtrack to that game, while midi and in terrible quality, is great stuff. I don't think there's been a Zelda game with better tunes. Wind Waker had like two memorable songs, and TP had none.

I loved rolling as a Goron and swimming as a Zora.

:piss n64 :piss2
And please Prole don't use Midi as an excuse, I don't care how dated the music sounds dated as long as its good its good.
It doesn't rely on tried and true Zelda traditions and even features someone who's not Ganon as the villain. It isn't until half way when the story goes bonkers and uninspired and tries to present OoT fan wank at every turn

Wait, what? I think you have that backwards, himu. The first half (third?) followed OoT's temple template very closely. It wasn't until later that it actually started becoming its own game (at least until the very end with the very lame plot twist).
i hate to break it to you guys, but whether you can remember music says nothing about how good it is. maybe you just suck at remembering good music, or suck at avoiding getting bad music stuck in your head

I disagree. First half is better story-wise because of Zant. Second half sucks story-wise because of Ganonitis. First half felt like a love letter to OoT more than anything else. It, however, didn't feel like complete fan wank, though. Second half is definitely more OoT-esque due to the inclusion of Ganondorf and the Temple of Time.
Take off you cum-stained, pink nostalgia glasses and admit TP and FF12 are the best Zelda and FF games ever made you 16-bit fucks.

fully agree that FF12 is the best. I cant agree about TP Though. The overworld, towns and the wolf sections were as fun watching paint dry.The one time use of most major items didn't help it either.

jesus, cry fucking more. that's all you do these days anyway.
I said wow at all the nfaggotry in this thread. :smh
I think this is the first time leading up to E3 where I KNOW a new console Zelda is going to be unveiled and my hype is through the floor instead of the roof. Nobody runs shit into the ground better than Nintendo, that's for sure.
I wonder if there will be a hookshot
There was some vague talk that this new Zelda may be cel shaded, though of course in a different style than WW.

Is this really likely? The teaser art suggests otherwise, but then again it was revealed last E3, but I doubt they'd change the game's overall look in just one year.
Space World was just a tech demo, not an actual reveal.
I can't remember a damn thing about TP. To me, that was the most souless, forgetable Zelda game on a console since Zelda 2. Wind Waker was infintely more enjoyable. An excuse thats actually worse than Nostalgia? I think so.
I call bullshit on that one. Ocarina is infinitely more "soulless" than TP is.

Well I certainly didn't intend for my inner n-cigarillo to be overtaken by nostalgia, but when I used the term "soulless" I basically was implying what Himuro stated. TP felt like a rehash. But then again Nintendo was just giving what a lot of their army of man children wanted or at least thought they wanted.
Prole also has a big anti-OoT slant so you're not really doing yourself any favors here :lol
Zelda:OoT is a work of genius which any contemporary game designer could learn a great deal from.
I call bullshit on that one. Ocarina is infinitely more "soulless" than TP is.
And I'm sure after Zelda Wii is out people will be championing Twilight Princess.Nah, I'll stick with MM and OoT.

Nintendo needs to make a "New Legend of Zelda" - no gimmicks, just make it similar to LTTP/LA but on Wii.

Hasn't Peter Moly-Fable guy been trying to do this? the whole one button "accessible" combat system and leading the player with a line on the floor?Keep this out of my Zelda, thanks.
Peter Molyneux is the videogame industry's biggest sham.
"owright mate, Fable 1 will revolutionize choice and decision making in games."
"owright mate, Fable 1 sucked. Fable 2s co-op will revolutionize user interaction in games."
"owright mate, Fable 2 sucked. Fable 3 combined with Natal will *insert hyperbole here*"
He is literally a joke.
Butthurt PS3fag :lol
Never played Spirit Tracks but I bought Phantom Hourglass and that was enough for me. Phantom Hourglass was about the least fun I've ever had with any Zelda game.
I still remember reading sp0rsk going on and on over at GAF how PH was one of the best Zeldas ever. lol
I play Zelda I and II at least once every year, and I just find them a chore to play through. It's not that they're bad games, it's just that, like every original game from the NES, it's incredibly dated and relatively unpolished.
I don't even like Mario 3 that much anymore. Its ok, but often it just feels gimmicky. See flight suits, frog suits, minigames.
My Zelda rankings cause I'm awesome:
Majora's Mask > Oracle games > Twilight Princess > Ocarina of Time > Link Link's Awakening > The Wind Waker > A Link to the Past > The Minish Cap > Four Swords Adventures (awesome game) > Spirit Tracks > Phantom Hourglass > The Legend of Zelda > Adventure of Link
Word. SMB3 is overrated as fuck. Shitty 10 second levels and vapid level design.
Mario is the most overrated game series ever
Remember, Himuro likes old Sonic. Case closed.
SMB1 = aged and datedBullshit, that game is always fun to play.

It's just incredibly basic.
Well, shit, I wonder why?

Sonic games :rofl
I don't see where everyone is getting Majora's Mask as the best Zelda game. Yeah, it was a little more polished than OoT, but the game play was horrible.
Seriously people, Majora's Mask wasn't hard to understand. It's one of the most fun and varied Zelda games, period.QuoteI don't see where everyone is getting Majora's Mask as the best Zelda game. Yeah, it was a little more polished than OoT, but the game play was horrible.

I don't see where everyone is getting Majora's Mask as the best Zelda game. Yeah, it was a little more polished than OoT, but the game play was horrible. Part of the fun for me in Zelda games, has always been having time to explore the world and take my time in completing the quests. In MM, there wasn't time to get one fucking thing done. I got into a malicious mood 2/3 of the way into the game and started letting the world end and watching 3 of the giants get crushed as they tried to stop the moon from crashing into the world...

Stone Tower is amazing.
Zelda Majoras Mask probably has the best town (clock town is fucking amazing) and dungeons (stone tower) in the series. It's also the most fun Zelda to just mess around in, town or overworld, partly because of the transformations.
Hold up, Majora's Mask was the one with the alien abductions at Lon Lon Ranch, right? Best 3D Zelda ever. :bow2
with a guidenoob
Majora's Mask is totally playable without a guideYeah. It has a lot of sidequests, but you can't miss any. Just talk to everyone. If there's one that you can't do, most likely you have to do another sidequest to trigger it. I beat the game and collected every mask when I was 13. I didn't have anyone who I could talk with about it though. A lot of Zelda fans skipped MM. :(

Sounds like the game you want already came out, Maurice.Yep, Clock Town and whatever the surrounding area was called was the most lively of any Zelda.spoiler (click to show/hide)It's called Majora's Mask, although the graphics ain't up to par it's on pc via emulation![close]
PS: Fuck Hyrule. Non-Hyrule Zelda plz, no Ganon, no Zelda either.
Maybe I should be a ninfag and play all the games over the summer. I never serious played the Nintendo games, didn't get a chance to beat Links Awakening, never played much of the other handheld games, and me and my friend never finished Four Swords for the GC.
Edit: I forgot that Four Swords GC required GBAs for each player. I'll ignore that one. :-\
Ah, I forgot it had that.
you are not a worthy zeldafag until you play and beat both oracle of ages and oracle of seasonsYessss. Better than any 3D Zelda. Hell, I think I even had more fun with Four Swords on GC than Twilight Princess
gba four swords was fun as hell, but it had randomly generated levels and got old fastThis is never good...

Imagine if Nintendo did to Zelda what WB did to Mortal Kombat.:-X :-X :-X :-X

Give Zelda to...

Better, BioWare.

I'd play that.
