Willco: I know you're a Lost cynic, but was the finale tonight decent? Like, could you see a SANE Lost fan being somewhat fine with the ending. I'm not going into the official thread until I see it

I would have never imagined I'd be far more excited about a 24 finale than Lost.

Given how he shat on S5 I kinda trust his judgment, even though most of his recent reviews of S6 episodes have been hilariously bad. The middle of the season was strong but the beginning and (apparently) the end were weak

For the next week or so, fans are going to try and convince themselves that the finale was good - because they can't cope with it being awful.

Once the dust settles, I think it'll be unanimous that this was a pretty terrible finale.

not really--i don't like lost much and was browsing the web while watching for half of the season yet i enjoyed it. doesn't stop the show from being tremendously overrated. not even top 3 shows currently on air much less of all time.

That forum really suffers from odd fanboy peer pressure, where everyone is trying to 1up the fervent obsession of each other. I noticed this especially during the TDK days when everyone was bragging about how many times they had seen it, how many blurays they bought, etc - basically taking Guzim and Ninja Scooter's shit to ridiculous levels. No wonder viral marketers thrive there.

I haven't seen the finale but overall this has been the best season since S5
