It's been 4 yrs since VF5 was released. Why don't they just make VF6 instead? Of all the things to copy from Capcom, Sega chose this... :duh
Anyway, I just want two things out of a console port. A return of the VF4 Evo style training mode and a far more robust online mode. VF5 played really well online but it was as barebones as possible.
Every competitive game worth a shit gets revisions to address balancing. Try as they might, the developers simply cannot tune everything perfectly on their first try. They rely on the community to really break down the game and find all the imbalances and from there work on their next version. If they were to make VF6, it would need to play completely different from VF5, and then they're back to square one.

Too bad Virtua Fighter 5 sucked.

Agreed but 3 iterations in 4 years with minor changes in between? Fuck that. Just patch that shit or release it as DLC.
New game or GTFO. Tech moves way too fast in 4 years for me to still be impressed enough with VF5 to buy it a 3rd time.
I'll be playing some VF4EVO later today. Hopefully this gets a console release and the online play isn't useless because none of my friends care for it. :'(

In the same boat. VF5 online was the funnest I had with a fighting game this gen but I couldn't make use of it because my lag was horrible.
you only 'beat' a fighting game by owning everyone so hard that none of your friends want to play with you anymore.spoiler (click to show/hide):rock[close]spoiler (click to show/hide):'([close]
VF4 evo is the best fighter ever and is on my favorite games of all time list.
VF is the only fighting game ever made that is actually fun to play in single player. :bow AM2
Thumbing through the GAF thread indicates that a console port is pretty likely.console release!!!!!!? :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
SOMEONE ANSWER THIS MAN! I CAN GO THROUGH ANY POST MY EYES ARE BLEEDING!!
Then again I have to admit that T5 and T6 are both pretty badass and are certainly more fun to play than VF5, plus the character designs are super badass >:(
