Nothing official but the fact we have the final title now means the rumors of July 2007 seem rather likely.

Interesting. I honestly can't say I can guess what it pretains to. Perhaps Godric's Hollow, which is where Harry's parents were killed.

When I first heard the name for book 7 my mind was racing with possibilities as to who the Half Blood Prince could be. I remember thinking it would be either Malfoy (assuming that maybe he really wasn't pure blood afterall...which was a stupid guess) or Hagrid. I don't think anyone would have guessed it would be Snape.

I absolutely cannot wait for this book. There's so much stuff that HAS to happen in it. I mean, I believe Harry will go back to school possibly after

, which means the book will be split into many parts. What we no so far about book 7:

-Harry will go to Bill and Fleur's wedding pretty early in the book
-He'll turn of age
-He'll visit Godric's Hollow
-Seek out the identity of RAB

(which MUST be Sirius' brother)

That's the core stuff that's fact. But there's a lot of stuff left. For instance, is Harry going to return to Grimwauld, and possibly start his horcruxes hunt there? Reading back on OOTP reveals that the house has at least one horcrux in it (the locket Harry and Ron couldn't open while cleaning up the house).

But how will Harry go to school and search for the horcruxes, outside of the ones he finds before the school year starts? In HBP he was able to search for them with Dumbledore at night without compromising his studies (The Cave), so perhaps he'll do it that way.

Can't. Fucking. Wait.

And finally,

I always believed he was.

Really? Why?

Another thing Rowling hinted at is that the book will delve into Lily Potter's life more, which sort of  confirms the theory about Snape loving her. Snape is not mean to Harry because he's a death eater, he's mean to him because Harry reminds him of his failure with Lily as well as James. It must have been hard for Snape, as a kid, to deal with his feelings for Lily. Although he was not pureblood he pretended to be, and on at least one occassion he called Lily a mudblood. He seemed ashamed of his feelings for her. James and Sirius certainly didn't help the situation by tormenting him.

There's no doubt in my mind that Snape will reveal his true nature to Harry in the last book, perhaps before he dies. Snape will sacrifice himself to save Harry, and I expect Snape to fight Voldermort first. As it stands Harry is still no match for Voldermort, despite what he did in book 4.

The last book it was just so obvious that Rowlings was trying to make it look like Snape was bad when actually the opposite is true.

and Dumbledore trusted him

and Dumbledore trusted him
True.

From the very first book this has happened. Harry thought Snape was trying to get the Sorcerer's Stone, and of course Harry thought Snape was trying to kill him during the Quidditch match as well. Every book features this event, and everytime it's stressed that Dumbledore trusts Snape.

In HBP Dumbledore revealed that the first time he met the young Tom Riddle (Voldermort) he knew there was something wrong with him. If he could sense the danger of Voldermort as a child there's no way he wouldn't be able to do the same with Snape.

In the second chapter of HBP Snape takes the unbreakable vow with Belletrix and Narcissa, pledging to help Malfoy with his plan (which of course was revealed to be to kill Dumbledore). In the book Hagrid tells the gang that he heard Snape arguing with Dumbledore and saying he "didn't want to do it anymore". Snape didn't want to comply with the Vow; it's obvious. Even during the final confrontation Dumbledore has to beg Snape to kill him. And of course when Harry calls Snape a coward he blows up. Why wouldn't Snape kill Harry right there? Why did he stop the death eaters from using the Crucio curse on Harry?

It's obvious. HE'S A GOOD GUY

I wish this book was called, like "Harry Potter and the Time He Died Even Though Snape Was a Good Guy" and just lay it all on the table.

It will be good for this stuff to be over with, if only so girls won't be able to pretend that they read anymore.

"What do you like to read?"

"Oh, lots of stuff!  I really love Harry Potter!"

"That's not literature, you whore!"
