More MGS goodness.  It looks like Kojima is making it up to fans from the MGS4 debacle--Peace Walker, then Rising, now this.

uhhhh, I would not include Rising as "making up" for MGS4 when it will probably be a shovelware game faaaaaar worse.

Nice, a port.

Now Nintendo has an excuse to port many games and add 3D behind it.

Seriously?  I thought it looked good.  Not feeling Rising, Bebpo? Looks pretty high budget to me.

Also, MGS3 port with downgraded graphics and gimmicky 3d?  wtfffff kojima.

Never played this. Is there actual gameplay in this one?

Best MGS game so far.

Why do I get the feeling the slew of major franchise 3ds announcements are all gonna be PS2 game ports with 3d effects.
Kind of like how Iwata said "you can re-release your gamecube titles on wii and add waggle!" maybe now he's saying "you can port your PS2 games to wii and add 3d slider!"

The first 2 years of 3ds will be exactly like the first two years of DS and first two years of Wii.  Tons of gimmicky no effort, no budget crap.

Unless those are bullshots, it looks a tad better.

I see the ring from Peace Walker, so I bet there are PW gameplay elements added.

It looks like MGS3 with peace walker graphics.  I think you are forgetting that MGS3 is one of the best looking PS2 games ever and looks amazing.

Image quality will look a bit better because it's on a tiny screen.  Framerate could possibly be smoother as well than the unsteady 30 FPS on the original.

However, just like any PS2 to PSP port, polys and effects will be diminished quite a bit.

But we should be happy, finally a proper 3D graphics on Nintendo handheld.

Those look great, but I hope this system ends up being more than just a 3rd party port machine.

Why so many ports?

Is that the 3rd party support it is going to get?

it's a new console launch

always expect lots of ports

DS has a Ridge Racer 64 port

New games. The prospect of playing a bunch of ports on a handheld does not entice me.

I thought that was the initial criticism.  PSP became a PS2 port machine with mixed result, due to lack of dual analog controls.

Interesting, looks like someone form Nintendo realized...uh our western support was mostly shit,we should try better with 3DS

But we shall see how Western audience excepts those ports.

This is a test...

I said once that we need one proper western hardcore handheld platform...and Nintendo listened me

Me :bow2

The only question will be,how good they are adapted to handheld device...

Porting from big console to handheld is a risky business...look what happened to PSP

looks a billion times better than the PSP nub

super awkward position for the d-pad, though.  It has full DS BC, so playing Okamiden on it could be awkward.

and here we are again with no dual analogue and X/B/Y/A aiming

smhhh, the industry likes to go in circles before it advances.

Oops, I meant PSP2.  For a long time, PS2 BC has been a PSP2 feature that Sony fans have been clamoring for.

touch screen aiming

I think it works great in the few DS games that use it.

Maybe they'll port KoTOR next

Cant we use touchscreen for aiming?

X/B/Y/A aiming...this port thing will be a total flop...ugh

At least they placed the analog stick on top.  Nice to see some forward thinking from Big N.

i guess it's a little better than psp because you can use the touch screen for aiming, but not by much

and i am totally down for some wolfenstein enemy territory wifi port action

The Standard Model only has one Higgs "doublet". Although we tend to think of the Higgs boson as one particle, it actually comes in a package of four, explained Dr Martin.

"In the Standard Model, you only see one of them because the other three are absorbed into [other parts of the scheme] such as the W and the Z bosons. There's only one left," he told BBC News.

"So if you want to add another Higgs doublet - you actually have to add four more particles."

So, portable 3D versions of the best console library of all time?  How is this a bad thing again?
