It's really idiotic if they didn't put a lightning rod on what is essentially a steel and foam tower.

My wife told me they were asking for $700,000 to help rebuild touchdown jesus.  Too lazy too look it up.

When I first heard this story, I was all ready to laugh at Notre Dame until I read it was just some statue in Ohio. :(

They'll probably get it. I think they should pray for a miracle restoration! That'd show us rationalists!

$700,000?  Just call Kentucky Parks and Recreation.  They'll have enough donated styrofoam coolers leftover from lake parties and fishing trips to fix that worthless statue in one weekend.  The best part is that it'll be rebuilt with better quality materials than the first time!  :lol
