Raphael looks like a total femme, no surprise he's winning on this forum, Donatello looks like a douchebag, Michelangelo looks pretty cool, but I'd have to go Leonardo. That's a pretty epic beard he's got there.

as a kid I always identified with Michelangelo, the stoner turtle.  Today I'd probably go with Donatello.

Michelangelo and Donatello have always been my favorites. Leonardo is a douche and Raphael is always angry/borderline emo. I stuck to Donatello in the games because his weapon has the best reach.

Michelangelo just wants to eat pizza and have fun so he gets my vote. :-[

I always identified with Donatello as a youngster, prolly 'cause he was the only one that wasn't distinguished mentally-challenged.  Amid Michelangelo's mild drug addiction, Leo's reckless bravado, and Raphael's anger management problems, Don was the dude gettin' shit done.

It's always funny that Donatello was kind of thrown in there as the fourth turtle as the artist was a sculptor and wasn't even in the same Renaissance group as the other three who all lived at the same time and knew each other. 

I'd have to say Michelangelo (the artist) can represent the vast majority of EB - emo, introverted, downer, didn't like Leonardo (it's ok, Leonardo didn't like him either - said Michelangelo's figures looked like sacks of nuts) OR Raphael (even got into a street fight with him), loves men and even depicts women to look like men.  Leonardo was a friggin genius but couldn't get jack shit done because he was always running off to do something new.  Curse of having too many good ideas. 

They really should have switched Raphael and Michelangelo in the cartoon as Raphael was the young charismatic socialite.  Probably the only straight one in that grouping too.  :lol

I think Raphael's School of Athens sums it up pretty well - he inserted the three high renaissance artists (himself included) into the fresco.

Going back on topic though I always related to Michaelangelo because he loved food.

Yeah, I definitely always identified with Michaelangelo the most because I love pizza and food in general. I don't think I've changed. I hope he hasn't.

I always thought it was the general consensus that Donatello was gay.

Crystal Gemini - The figure you've pointed out as Leonardo is actually meant to represent Plato.  While he points upwards towards the world of heavenly ideas, Aristotle, to his right, points down towards the earth to reflect his emphasis on empiricism.

edit:  I just looked it up and it's actually...both?  The painting is meant to represent Plato but he drew it in Leonardos likeness.  Neat.

Well to be fair, Michaelangelo seemed more like he was just asexual, being that he didn't care about his appearance and some was that he may have just been autistic.  Leonardo was never married/engaged and was twice charged with sodomy so that's pretty straightforward.  Raphael was like a superstar attention-whore of the times.

And I believe that that painting you linked had Michaelangelo thrown in at the last second, with his placement in the picture screwimng up all of the framing.  I think it was drawn after Raphael saw the Sistine Chapel and he put Michaelangelo in there to show his aloof geniusness.
