do you need to do any ps2 voodoo or do you just need some a burned disc? i'll play if it's easy to get
As you all know except OMG RED SCARLETT I have 208 hours logged in in vanilla FF12.
Is it worth it to buy Zodiac Version?
Probably no, huh.
My PS2 fat is flip top modded and I've got Swap Magic, but I haven't used it since I bought a Japanese PS2 slim a few years ago.

I had a flip top swap magic ps2 and used that to install a hdd with HDadvance on it. You should do that, it's pretty fuggen fly. don't need boot discs or anything. Only thing I wish I could dump back to the list of games without a hard restart, other than that it's flawless.
I'd rather have a translation patch for the Wii game that Bebpo has been playing.
How is the patch applied?

I have the 1.0 final version so I dunno.
The latter, the language was never offered at school.
I am streaming if you want to blab, Santa.

is the version still at 0.19?

ok thanks, any chance you will play FFX-2 international next?
there still isn't a turn-based JRPG on current systems that lives up to any of the SMT PS2 games.
? all the current gen systems have comparable stuff? or no way? I'm stupid and can't figure it out. Help me, demi. Make me understand.
I'm trying to get the Zodiac Spear right now, but it's being a jerk. It's the longest taking 1% spawn pot I've ever encountered in the game.
>:( >:( >:( :maf :maf :maf
Nah, the only RPGs this gen that have comparable quality to the best PS2 stuff (ie. SMT) is Valkyria Chronicles and Tales of Vesperia. The Last Remnant is great too if you don't mind grinding. Resonance of Fate is also amazing, but that game is purely about gameplay.
And of course Demon's Souls is godlike, but it's structured like an action game with stats. Not a typical RPG.
Penelo is THE best mage in the original game
...ZERO outstanding features aside from character models.
Penelo is THE best mage in the original game
What? No. Ashe is the best mage with Panelo a close second.
I *think* Penelo has the highest base magic stat in both versions, but it's like a couple of points. I really don't see it making a huge difference which character plays like this or that type of character.
Heh. Kind of random to just post the subterranean Pharos levels out of the blue? BTW did you ever 100% either version?
pharos fucking blows, just like all the other interior dugeons in the game. fuck those frogs
Can't you get a zodiac spear for sure in that area in the bog area inside the castle you reach later, with 12 chests lying around with one definitely being a zodiac spear as long as you don't open certain chests throughout the game? I never got it but I read that's a sure way to get it. Game doesn't need it anyway. Basch with the katana with buffers etc is all I needed. Never got Tournesol either, too much grindin, no cheevs.
Yes you can get it that way, guaranteed find but come on: playing with a FAQ just to know which chests NOT to open?
This is the worst thing about japanese games. Obscure, hidden, missable stuff.
And Tournesol doesn't require any grinding at least it didn't in my case. Well maybe for 20 mins.
I loved chapter 11 in XIII so much. I was thinking the whole time "wow, what if they made the entire game like this."
Now I remember they did: FFXII. 8)
Progress report!
Ok, cool. Can also get the strongest weapon for a BM from the 25% point onward. My guide is "done" if you want to use it sometime. Still have to make fixes and add some stuff, but all the screencaps and that stuff is up. Just hollar.
