An "orgle" is the mating sound of a llama or alpaca, made by the sexually aroused male. The sound is reminiscent of gargling, but with a more forceful, buzzing edge. Males begin the sound when they become aroused and continue throughout the act of procreation—from 15 minutes to more than an hour.[13][14]

I realized the other day that 90% of my fascinating facts are directly lifted from QI.  I was going to tell one of them to someone who's going through the series, and I realized I'd either be boring him or spoiling the show.

I was hoping this thread would be successful enough to justify a standard :orgle emoticon, but it seems to have been relegated to mid-list oblivion.
