On August 27, return to Pandora and re-experience James Cameron's History-Making Epic film, with more than Eight Minutes of Never Before Seen Footage- exclusively in Digital 3D and IMAX® 3D. Since - and largely as of result of - AVATAR's release last December, the number of available digital 3D screens has exploded, and moviegoers who missed experiencing the film in 3D, as well as fans that want to return to Pandora again, will now have that opportunity.

The Oscar® and Golden Globe® winning epic is the highest grossing film of all time, taking in over $2.7 billion in worldwide box office. It is also the top-selling Blu-ray disc of all time.

i'll go see it again.  I never bought the blu ray or dvd because seeing it at home always seemed like a waste to me.  It's totally a movie that needs to be seen in theaters.

Saw it in 3D the first time. If I ever see it again, it will be at home in 2D, where I can make sarcy remarks to myself and pause the damned thing when I go for a piss.
or pause on parts where you see na'vi nips :drool

I tried watching a little bit of Avatar but just couldn't take it. I kept thinking of all the cool movies certain scenes were from. The first part with the Marines made me turn it off and turn on Aliens.

Screw seeing it in 3D. For some reason I can't see the new 3D. The backgrounds look crystal clear but things that are supposed to "pop out" still appear as 2 images that are blurry. No biggie. It's just a gimmick anyways  :lol

still my favourite ad on UK tv

it's basically -
HERE IS THE NEW PANASONIC TV
IF YOU DONT WANT ONE YOU ARE A HOMO
LOOK, HERE IS A HOT STUD ENJOYING AVATAR WITH A HOT WOMAN
IGNORE THE GLASSES, HE LOOKS TOTALLY AWESOME

* p.s. AVATAR IS NOT AVAILABLE IN 3D

so ... yeah, the whole ad is to show how amazing 3D and it uses Avatar to promote the TV and they have to flash up in text that Avatar isn't out in 3D.

Totally hilarious if you ask me.

FREE BLOWJOBS!*

* NO FREE BLOWJOBS.

Typical Japanese marketing.  Remember how Sony promoted the awesomeness of 1080P 120fps gaming?   :hehe

I like the "only 8 minutes added" in a thread title from someone who swears that changing the voiceover of a storm trooper in an early cut of Star Wars was functionally the same as the changes Lucas made for the 90's rerelease (as a way of telling people to stop being mean about Lucas, since he's been doing this the whole time and you didn't complain then, did you?).

This is more similar to changing storm trooper voices than it is to adding tons of CGI (Avatar is already pretty much just CGI).

What I hate is that the story was the weak part of the movie and it already felt way too long.  To sell audiences on rewatching this you're either going to need more action or more furry dry-humping..and it doesn't make you a genius to figure out which way Cameron swings these days.

hey, am nintenho, this is just a little off topic, but what do you think about a girl pissing on you?  like would you let them?  i want a girl to piss while she's riding me but I don't think i'd want like a golden shower or something, you know?  just seems erotic to me.  i'm not into scat though.

well that is slightly off topic but yeah orgasmic incontinence is pretty common and I personally think it's something that people have to subconsciously desire to do.  Like a woman wouldn't squirt onto you unless she actually wanted to pee on you.  As a germ thing, urine is sterile.  Especially compared to all the other mucus's that you're swapping.

As far as would I actually want to get some lemonade?  No.  But I can understand if people love to do that since if you've had sex with a lot of women who do squirt then it's just something that you come to like and expect because you're just trained to do that.  Like I don't actually like to shake people's hands but if I'm meeting some people and everybody's shaking hands but one guy absolutely refuses to do it than I'd be weirded out by that.  I might think he's gay.

i think you're actually spot on there.  like i get enjoyment out of seeing my wife get enjoyment.  when i talk dirty for her pleasure, it pleasures me seeing how she's pleasured.  and i think her squirting on me in ecstasy would probably just be a nice physical manifestation of it that I like.

You may have one eye that is short-sighted, or long-sighted. Or one eye that is short-sighted, and one that is long-sighted. Even slight variation is apparently enough to dispel the effect.

Actually, I really want a 3D TV now.  I was checking out stuff at the local AV dealer and decided to see what the 3D hype's about.  I put on the glasses to watch Monsters vs Aliens and was prepared to be disappointed but surprisingly I was hooked!  Everything just seemed more dynamic and vibrant in 3D.  Right now, the dealer is running a pretty good deal:  55" Samung 3D LED + 3D Blu-ray player, 2 pairs of glasses for $2700.  I'm sorely tempted to pull the trigger.

I also noticed one of those Kuro Elites that dark10x loves to pimp.  Picture is quite fantastic but unfortunately there's a green stuck pixel not far from the middle.  Even for $2000, that flaw seems to be too much.

Subconsciously filed.  That's gonna come in handy one day.

Well, I obviously approve of such blatant consumption :bow BUT:

Why not get your feet wet with games/Blu-rays on PC first? It's a waaaaaay cheaper entry point, and there's lots more content. Such is my plan. By the time there's anything worth watching in 3D, prices will be much better.

I'm very interested in Nvidia's 3D as well but I'm waiting to see Viewsonic's 3D LED monitor first.  It's supposedly coming out soon so I might as well wait.

Do you think your Nvidia buddy can get me a discount on the 3D glasses?  Also, could you ask him if I could just use the regular TV glasses instead of Nvidia's when hooking up the PC to a 3D TV?

Thanks

It's not like he's a salesman ;) He just happens to have some spares lying around the office. I'll ask about how it works when using a 3D TV but I doubt it. Actually, they have an official mag called NVision - the 2nd to most recent issue was all about 3D, including their solutions. It's a decent read.
