Title: Thanks Sorny!
Post by: Billy Rygar on July 09, 2010, 05:56:42 PM
So I updated my PS3tm last night and lo and behold the d-pad on the controller seems to be stuck in the "up" position.  I thought at first that I had been holding a button down so I reset the controller, but the problem was still there.  Reset the system, problem still there.  New controller, problem still there.  Thanks Sorny!

Can I reset the firmware somewhere?

You can't reset firmware on PS3...once you update, there is no going back

System restore will just reset settings to default and delete hdd content...no re-flashing

You cannot use this feature to go back to an earlier version of the system software.

Try wired connection

Just thought of this-try plugging in a mouse and keyboard then install firmware again.
