No kidding.
No shitty overworld.
Better level design.
Better boss fights.
Crazy story. Bosses are more hilarious and have more personality.
The writing is better, and it breaks the fourth wall on a regular basis rather than keeping the awesome 4th wall stuff only in the game's ending.
Multiple characters.
Better controls.
Whoever says the first one is better is crazy and or dumb and this is just based off the first few levels.

+ Retro games
- Everything else
-
Both are terrible. Play Killer 7 instead.

Except Shinobu controls like shit. Hope this helps

Good thread timing, my copy of NMH2 just arrived. Cant wait to get into it tonight
-
It is better than MadWorld at least
-
Im mainly looking foward to retro minigames, and playing a version with BLOOD
-
BTW I thought it was awesome holy shit at the beginning too. Cause I mean holy shit more NMH awesome. Then I finished it

I agree that neither games are even in the shadow of Killer 7.
-

yeah, at first NMH2 seemed like it would be more of the first game with improvements to the combat and whatnot. Then you slowly begin to realize they replaced the personality and charm from the first game with shit you'd find at hot topic (circa four years ago. I don't think that store still exists.)
Also, they gradually have more and longer stages where you fight cannon fodder enemies. One near the end felt like I was in a coma.
-
What charm and personality? NMH1 almost no charm and personality. Bosses are over glorified one-liners. Levels are devoid of any creativity. The only thing I can think of in NMH1 that has "charm" or "personality" is the assassin 5 boss "fight" and the final level and even that's stretching it.

Real talk, No More Himu gaming threads > NHM 1 + 2
-
There's also a ton of stuff cut from the game, so it just skips all over the place. It's weird.

wait, then what you did you like about the first game? the combat and action? bien bien bien that works

I dunno. I thought it was highly flawed but still really fun, but I wouldn't call it "charming", because it's not. it didn't really have any charm or personality that's missing in the sequel. If anything, No More Heroes is Killer 7-lite. Go play K7 instead.

So why did you make this thread? :lol
I'm gonna start charging people for wasting space on here I SWEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Because it's better than No More Heroes 1.
-
Lepering Himu in the gaming forum is the only solution. Pull the trigger, demi.
-
Shut the fuck up Smooth Groove.

I don't know what you're talking about. That's Bebpo. Besides I also like to troll. My trolls should be easy to spot.
The cheerleader/football player fight was awesome. Seeing a group of cheerleaders turn into a giant mecha > *
:lol

Is there an nes game that's remotely similar to bug out? because i'd get it. the hang on wannabe is fun.
-
None that I can think of off hand. It was my favorite game too.
-
Bug Out owns but the steak one is great too.
-
Dayyum. The Tetrs like game is great too!
-

The mall parking lot :yuck
Also, taking out camera control was idiotic.
-
I didn't use camera controls in NMH. Well, what's the point of camera controls? You can't control the camera when fighting and you can't explore the city anymore.
-
In the first game you could use left/right on the dpad to adjust the camera when not locked on to an enemy. Was helpful especially in enclosed areas, at least I found it helpful. Taking it out isn't gamebreaking or anything like that, it just didn't make any sense to me why they didn't leave it in.
-
It's nice to be able to play this game with the classic controller. Then you've got the PS3/360 ports of the original with the same controls. No more waggle garbage.
-
motion controls aren't an issue with nmh controls. man up
-
Yuck. I'm glad I waited so I can play both games with a pad.
-
this game needs an hd port. or i could just steal my parents' wii for a weekend.
...
nah, i'll just wait for the hd port instead of dirtying up my TV's component-ins with electro-aids.
-

Wait a year. I'm sure it will come out.

Yeah, it will probably be a while if they do it. They still haven't released NMH2 on Wii in Japan yet.
