AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Day one, with REAL money. None of those yohoho bucks.
-
I'm pre-ordering this. Turn A Gundam is TEH BEST GUNDAM SERIES.
-
Buy... anime?
I hope it ends up on netflix.
-
If one wanted to get into this series where would one start?
-
If one wanted to get into this series where would one start?
Gundam 00.
-
MCD :bow
I haven't watched Anime in years. I think the last one I watched was Hajima no Ippo.
-
If one wanted to get into this series where would one start?
Zeta Gundam
-
There is season 2 of Ippo but it's not as great (focuses more on other boxers and not Ippo himself) still good though.
Gundam 00 is basically this:
Setsuna F. Seiei is the best protagonist in Gundam.
In the first season he is kind of a cigarillo. And also Gundam. He has no fucking idea what he's doing there other than that he has a tremendous Gundam boner, like a parody of kids who grew up on Gundam. And his entire mission in life is to fly around with seven laser swords getting peace in the Middle East.
Enter Season 2. The dude is Solid Snaking shit in space in his half-Exia and gets the Bro Raiser, starts taking bitches and ruining the current world order because he is the single representation of all Celestial Being is and he knows it. He fights with no remorse or emotion, gradually becoming more and more powerful until he is, literally, unstoppable.
If you don't like that sort of crazy next gen entertainment :smug then go for the older shows like Turn A Gundam, Zeta Gundam or the new Gundam Unicorn OVA. Don't blame me if you get bored though.

This post says it all about Jesus F. Seisei
That's the second best explanation of a Gundam protagonist i have ever seen (Nothing can beat the one for Tobia Arronax, sorry :lol) IMO

I wish I was able to find that clip of Harry Ord giving Poe medicine. What a badass.
-
Harry Ord is a badass (with great taste in eyewear), Himuro is a sadass.
-
I'm gonna pirate the shit out of this :hyper

Ignore any suggestion that isn't the Gundam 0079 movie trilogy, Gundam 00 season 1, or Turn A. Suggesting Zeta in particular is fucking stupid as it's impossible to appreciate Zeta on any level without having seen the original.
-
Regarding the topic, I will buy this. I've already watched it so no reason not to buy it and support. Ichi and his anti-piracy shtick is mad homo.
-
I still question why Bandai did this. This is 10 years too late. They should have licensed and aired Turn A on fucking Toonami like in 2000 or 2001.
This will bomb on every level, and without the tv fanbase to back it up, no one will give a shit.
So why bother licensing and releasing Turn A Gundam 10 years after it came out in Japan hoping for success? The only people who are going to buy this already watched it through fansubs.

So people can pirate it and listen to english voices :smug

Well, in your case, you live in a third world country so you probably can't get it legally. It's understandishible.
:lol at Himu claiming he'll buy this.
-
Eh, depends on the price. If it's single dvds, I won't buy it. No rush. Already seen it.
-
This show wouldn't have done well even back when Gundam had some popularity in America. Turn A is all about politics and there is hardly any real action in the series. Kids would pass out hearing characters negotiate land treaties instead of endless beam spam.
As for why they're bringing it over now, I dunno, but I'm happy that they are. Maybe Turn A having a chunky role in the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games got people hankering for more Harry Ord...oh wait, those stupid games didn't have Harry Ord. Not even Gundam vs Gundam has enough Harry Ord :maf
-
Who cares. Already seen Turn A. Why is there a reason to be excited for this?
It's not like it's a recent show. Or a show that wasn't fansubbed well and the localization will give it the respect it deserves.
And the anime industry wants to blame piracy for their downfall? lol
-
I buy shit I like, even if I saw it 11 years ago.
-
I just want to own it and add it to my tv show/movie collection. I saw Gundam Unicorn before it was released proper too, but I still went ahead and bought the single episode on blu-ray for the crazy price they were charging.

Took only one post for the truth to come out. You're such a piece of shit, Himuro.

:lol :lol :lol

I will fucking destroy you. :gun

So what you're saying is, you're a filthy pirating animal.

I was gonna pirate this today but decided to pirate the rest of fma: brotherhood instead.

Thanks for the update.

This thread made me want to watch Gundam 00 despite the fact that I usually despise anime, so I got my pirate on and am streaming now. The first episode was good... I'ma keep watching.
