Title: Old Rumour: Star Wars X Wing, Tie Fighter.. Possible remake?

I only ever played the original X Wing game and it blew my mind as a kid (my first game purchase ever). You play as a Rebel and destroy the Death Star over Yavin. It's fuckin amazing anyway. The best Lucas Arts game I've ever played.

While lookin around for the updates for X Wing and Tie Fighter that run on XP and have more VO's and cutscenes I ran across a rumour started August last year. A distant hope which can hopefully be made new with some rumours/info soon... Fuck I want a remake of that game/a new entry in the series that's true to it's roots.

I'd choose X Wing anyway since it's what I've played and would be an awesome nostalgia trip.

I only ever hopped in for X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, then X-Wing Alliance, plus the Freespace games. Missed out on Tie Fighter.

Would be cool, but less cool, if it's just putting the old games on Steam and making them able to run like the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight packs (which didn't even run 100% properly).

I have you ignored for dissing Soccer and promoting Tennis :punch I always end up reading stuff by people I ignore anyway, hence ignored no longer.

I really need to play Tie Fighter. Sounds pretty boss. Gouraud shading :o
