What do you guys think? Is it the way to go?
What about the retailers? More gaming ads on tv as a result?
-
Uh, i think i better explain my leaping question at the end. Retailers would spend less time selling the gaming console if they went dd only. As a result it would mean less consumer awareness. So how would they recover the lost exposure to the public? More gaming ads?

Nothing personal but who here cares about this gaf celebrity?

Well he has some good info about the industry once in a while. Like what happened to E3. He also makes some crazy ass predictions most of which fall short of the mark. This prediction however i think will come to fruition.

Hes an overpaid tool who gets paid to spout fanboy nonsense that I post on here FOR FREE

This is the dumbest thing he's ever said

Not surprising that an unrepentant Nintendo fan and rapist sympathizer would use the nickname "Pach Attack."
-
Do you have somethign against me T Exp.

His crotch, AND YOU HAD IT COMING
-
Well i am not a rapist sympathiser, and pach attack is the segments name. It seemed like common sense to me that attire and rape go hand in hand, i guess i am wrong about that. But i never sympathised with rapists.

With that being said I don't believe the journalistic arm of the game industry should continue to pay him any heed considering his limited knowledge and insight. I've met several journalists who are more informed about the industry and routinely make better predictions than Pachter. Being an analyst does not and should not imbue any sort of credibility or "insider knowledge." This isn't a cut and dry market like domestic food production or goods transportation so your typical analyst has far more difficulty in predicting trends in such a routinely chaotic market.
The gaming industry (mainly the gaming press) still has that inferiority complex compared to other industries where they feel they need someone like pacher to legitimize what they do. Even if he is generally wrong a shit load.
