I said this in another thread, but a pal of mine named Greg Pazour is doing a set at the UCB in Hollywood this Friday at 6:30 PM. It's Open Mic, and he said there's no cover.
-
Is he gonna tell jokes about men and women and how they're different? Cause that shit never gets old.
-
I doubt it. He's been close guarded about his set, but he's been hanging out with a lot of heavy hitters trying to learn the ropes the past twelve months. It's not like he's walking fresh on the stage; he's been hanging out and working with A-List guys. That said, this is his first real time in FRONT of an audience, so I have no doubt it might be rough.
He actually was my DM in California for a couple brief months. We've stayed in touch since we're both chasing the Hollywood dream and love movies, but his avenue is obviously comedy.

As much of a bastard I tend to be, I don't really want to see some dude fail miserably on stage. I'd feel bad :'(
Actually, I work Saturday morning or else I'd consider it. Tell your Dungeon master I said good luck though.. fucken nerds

Nice.

Aren't open mics usually late at night on weeknights? Or do they do these before the real show that goes off at 8pm? Or is it a massive cattle call that lasts all night?
-
I'm going to guess since there's no cover that there's no marquee that night.
