I was skeptical, but it looks decent. Let's face it, 2d hand drawn animation is dead in America.

Isn't John Lasseter spearheading a revival of this at Disney now? Hence The Princess and the Frog?
Who?
That's only one studio. Hey, I love hand drawn animation. I would love a full on revival. But movie executives just look at the bottom line. And the Princess and the Frog's BO take wasn't up to expectations.I was skeptical, but it looks decent. Let's face it, 2d hand drawn animation is dead in America.
That's why there are at least three hand drawn movies in the pipeline?

My main thing about 3D animation, aside from the fact that it's basically become a replacement for 2D animation, is that it seems like 3D animation lacks a lot of the quirks and tricks that you used to see a lot of 2D animation [especially in the old Looney Toons, Tex Avery, Chuck Jones cartoons].
