Mass Effect 2 for PS3? Very cool, but too bad the first game isn't included.

Of course, but i heard that news long time ago. :teehee

But hear me and hear me well! The day will come, oh yes, mark my words, EA and Bioware! Your day of reckoning is coming, when an evil wind will blow through your little playworld and wipe that smug smile off your face! And I'll be there in all my glory, watching, watching as it all comes crumbling down!

Bulletstorm looks great,btw

no. And they said EA sports is closing out the show so unless they pull a surprise I'm not sure they are going to show anything.

Bioware is stupid. Make a ME1 directors cut, include features from ME2, shorten the elevator rides and quirks and bugs, and release it on pc, 360 and ps3.

Or would MS have a problem with this.

Yeah I would like this also but those sort of "remakes" aren't free and require a lot of effort and time. For what will probably be relatively few sales. I do find ME 1 almost unplayable after ME2 outside of the story.

I guess this is EA pressuring the release of ME2 on ps3. But it probably won't sell too well. We'll see.

It's over. It was mainly a redux of their E3 press conference with just confirmation of the stuff they have announced since then and the ME 2 annoucement.

All I want from EA right now is Mirror's Edge 2 and they won't even fuckin announce it. :gloomy

there was Crysis 2 multiplayer footage?

I played Crysis multiplayer once or twice.  One game felt like Battlefield-ish and wasn't too bad.  The other was death match on a large match.  I think the latter might have been Crysis Wars that shipped with Warhead.

It will sell a few hundred thousand copies but these sort of one year later deals never generalyl net big sales in comparison to the original release.

I'll be curious to see how they handle all the hooks from ME 1 or do they just ignore that part.

There was MP footage. Honestly it looked like something was wrong with the setup. They were playing with controllers. It was very stiff looking and the dude they were focusing on wasn't shooting and moving at the same time. He was mostly standing still and shooting which looked awkward. Hopefully it was just a bad demo.

Not going to happen, ME1 was a technical disaster on both PC and 360.

I remember walking out into the Citadel (on 360), I think the game was running at 6 frames per second.

The MP footage was running at a framerate higher than 30fps.

So it was fake :lol

Surprised they're doing this. If you look at sales of HUGE games that are released way later on another platform, they are usually bomba material (see Bioshock on PS3).

Gotta start building the audience for the inevitably multiplatform ME3.

Sony could be moneyhatting, they seem to do that a lot with EA games.Besides it would be very hard for them to release ME3 on PS3 without ME2...

My bet is no ME3 announcement until this game is released...ME3 somewhere in the middle or fall of 2012

It is mind boggling that they're doing this. I guess the aim is to give some support before the next Mass Effect hits all three platforms.

Well there is the Codex.

But they miss out on Wrex and Ashley the eugenicist.

They did mention bonus content and stuff.  Maybe they make flashback levels based around key scenes from the first Mass Effect, only with Mass Effect 2's shooter gameplay.  They could also release it on 360 and PC as DLC.

I also think this move is more so they can release ME3 on all three platforms at once, especially when they've talked up how ME2 to ME3 would be a more meaningful connection.

also, Dead Space 2 flying in space stuff looks awesome and the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo was boring.

DVD with all the ME1 cut scenes like they did with Shenmue 2 :teehee

Shenmue only had one outcome though so it was easy to make a DVD that caught you up on the story (and god help those pathetic motherfuckers that actually sat down and watched that thing).  ME has several different outcomes that somewhat shape ME2 so a DVD would be a little bit problematic.

Honestly though, these people would be better off buying it on the PC like 95% of them have already claimed they did before it was announced for the PS3.

I could see them doing something like the Yakuza games by having a scene that recaps the prior events.
