Print out a coupon for 30 dollars off Tekken 6 and if not a Best Buy Reward Zone member, just sign up real quick. Then take coupon to best buy. Game seems to ring up as 29.99 actually and some people actually got copies for free with the coupon. But the manager will probably be called over and override it to 9.99 per the coupon.
I haven't played 6 but Tekken is fun. Fuck the haters. worth 10 bucks for sure IMO.

I'm a hater and even I bought it.
-
Target here had it on clearance for $10 as well, YMMV on that though.
PS. I wouldn't buy it anyway

ah never noticed that thread. my bad. i don't spend much time on the gaming side.

The Tekken Force mode will still piss you off due it's broken mechanics. It amazes me that the same development team made the perfect 3D beat 'em up engine for Urban Reign but fails every single time they try to implement one in Tekken.
-
You can get this for $7 at TRU, btw.
-
-_-

I really have to play through this shit? It's so awkward. They could've at least tried to make it like Fighting Force or something.

You don't ever have to play it if you don't want to. It's got no connection to the main game, although there are some levels you can grind for fast money/items.
-
Yeah the single player stuff is pretty bad.
-
This game fucking sucks.
Its only redeeming feature so far is loli gundam girl.
-
it's also an easy 1000 8)
-
Scenario Mode is AMAZING :bow
It's Ehrgeiz + Fighting Force + Tekken
I love it. Having a blast playing with daddy slime :bow
-
It has co-op? Offline too? ???
-
Online only I think
-
Dammit, anyone wanna suffer through this with me? :(

I will this week. The wife and I played last night and did shots every time we lost. She kicked my ass. But it was fun. It's no virtua fighter or even doa but its simple and easy to pick up.
-
Turns out you can only play 10 levels on co-op... the offline mode is completely different.

:rock Urban Reign :rock

Yeah, the online co-op mode was patched in some months after the game's release, and turned out to be pretty short. It can be pretty challenging on hard, however. You really need to have the right items equipped.
-
It helped out though, I'm using the beefed up items on the regular playthrough. Enemies are dying in 1 hit... and I'm pretty sure it's not on Easy.
-
Oh, definitely. Should give you a nice boost to plow through that mode. Although it won't really start to be challenging until maybe around the G-Corporation areas. There's a level called "Nightmare Train" that's the hardest, but I think you have to clear the story mode once and play on a harder difficulty to access it.
Never did finish the story mode. Lost interest after I just grinded a bit to get some money and custom parts to use towards character customization for the regular game.
-
All fighting games need a mode like this. Tekken raises the bar so high it's almost unreachable.
-
They always put some cool extras in Tekken games, that's for sure.
-
I kinda liked the Scenario Campaign mode at first. I played through the whole thing, and while I wouldn't call it good by any stretch, it was at least somewhat entertaining. Then I tried to play it again like a week ago and wooooow I hated it. Never touching that again unless I need to grind some gold.
I just need to unlock all of the endings and then I can just stick to multiplayer for good.

Lol cool, just send me an invite when you're on.
-
I wish the co-op levels were based on the single-player ones, I need someone to help me kill that fucking loli uguu robot boss
-
This game... *facepalm*
-
I've been playing through the campaign mode a lot today. Easy achievements indeed. It's not as horrible as I originally thought, but I still don't think Tekken's fighting system fits this mode.
-
Pick someone who is easy to use. I use Hwoarang :D
-
I'm still using this Lars douchebag. The game got a bit harder once, so I put on new shit for stat boosts and I've been fine ever since. I already beat old man Heihachi.
-
You do know you arent forced to use Lars since the tutorial? Thats probably why you hate it... Lars is clunky. Use someone fast like Hwoarang or Lee.
-
alright
-
You werent kidding lyte. Nightmare Train is :o
Course it doenst help that I didnt get -one- single health drop for Alisa during my Campaign run... so gay. I am farming on some levels on Hard hoping for some A-S drops. It is the last level I need to finish too. I read that if you sit in a corner and wait until 100 seconds, Jin appears so I could try that approach.
Or I could try playing as Alisa and use her rocket punch.
-
I finished the scenario mode last night. Smh at the story in this game. :lol
I just have to do the hidden stages now. I also almost won a player match online by mashing the kick buttons with Christie, but I somehow choked in the final round. :(
I still don't understand the weird ass fighting system in this game...
-
I just knocked all the gargoyles over the railing in order to beat Nightmare Train. I think I did the same to Jin too but I can't remember. It's a hard mission though, no doubt. Mostly because scenario campaign controls like shit but hey.
-
Beezy I'll fight you in Player Matches to boost the 30 online games. Noob vs Noob
-
Cool, I'll add you later when I get on.
-
I fucking beat Nightmare Train. I shot Jin off the train. I GOT SO LUCKYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I'm fucking tweaking. That is soooo hard. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
-
I can't even get up to Devil Jin. Nightmare Train is too hard compared to the rest of the game.
-
IT IS It's like the difficulty goes up 10 fold. What I do is run towards the gun and stay there. Then I pick off the gargoyles as they come to me.
Here's what I had:
- Ice Attack 16%
- Health Increase 338
- Fire attack 86 (this was S rank)
- Attack+ 78%
- Defense +8
-
- Ice Attack 16%
- Fire attack 86 (this was S rank)
- Defense +8
I have these, but the fire item is on the same body part as my health item, so I don't use it. My health item is also only in the 200s. Attack is in the 50s. This stage and Mokujin's stage are the only one's that I have left to beat.
-
Play Roger or Yoshi's stage on Hard with some item drop gear and you might pick up some good loot.
-
Thanks. I punched him off the train before him and his goons could jump me. :lol
-
Didn't notice your message until hours later demi. Some friends were over and we were watching stuff on netflix.
-
dont worry i already chalked it up as a victory. enjoy being second place.
-
I'll kick that ass later today. :maf

:-\
Christie handled you though.
-
:lol I died that you had to resort to Cheddy (Christie / Eddy)
-
???
She's the character I use the most outside of scenario mode.
-
Uh huh, why's that? lol..
-
Cause she confuses the shit out of people. And she's easy to use.
-
And black...
-
In somewhat related news, Katsuhiro Harada (producer of Tekken) even says the new Tekken movie is shit.
"that Hollywood movie is terrible. We were not able to supervise that movie (it was cruel contract) I'm not interested in that [movie]."
:lol :lol
-
Oh yeah, I need to watch that stinker. Downloaded it and forgot all about it.
-
Tekken has the finest bitches, is that reflected in the movie I wonder

:lol :lol
Like the Japanese Tekken anime movie wasn't terrible.

I got 1000 on this game... I dont think its bad. In fact I wish more fighting games adopted a single player mode. You can still have the hardcore to the bones arcade mode but for people who dont care for online they can enjoy the game while still finding character who they feel most comfortable with, etc. Without having to use silly Practice mode.
Might have to crack open Soul Calibur 4 now that I got the juices flowing.
-
There are fighting games with good single player modes, but they are very rare. BlazBlue is by far the best, Soulcalibur is good, Virtua Fighter is great but there's no story or anything, you just fight the AI in various arcades... survival mode in Dead or Alive is pretty awesome... that's about it.
I still need to go back and 1000 SC4 as well. Haven't touched it in ages. If you need someone to boost the multi achievements let me know.
-
I probably will but it wont be for a while... my copy is still sealed when I got it on release (even ha the orange DO NOT SELL BY stripe)
-
I was playing SC4 before I started Tekken 6. If anyone wants to play, let me know. I haven't really went online yet.
