My parents are really into this whole netflix streaming thing but I can't seem to find any lists online of what's available for streaming so I can recommend them stuff. Is there a list somewhere or do any of you guys who stream have any good recommendations? They just watch random stuff and a lot of it is shit. So I want to steer them toward some high quality small films that are on there.

Most of Akira Kurosawa's best/most well known movies are on instant streaming.

you can try to watch boondock saints 2 and question if life is worth living anymore

Well, I watched Memento, The Ghost and the Darkness, and Black Dynamite all recently on the streaming. I guess they're all recomendable although I'm not sure if you have parents who can appreciate Black Dyno mite Dyno mite.

The Art of the Steal is a pretty awesome documentary.
-
If Man on Wire is still available, it's definitely worth watching.
-
I thought Man on Wire was incredibly dull, especially for a docu that won an Oscar. About the only thing I was able to retain out of the whole thing was the Fleetwood Mac song "Albatross".
Black Dynamite is on there if you haven't seen it already, of course your milage may vary depending on how familiar you are with blacksploitation films. If you've ever seen a Dolomite movie then you're good to go.
The Damned United is one that I definitely reccommend though. I don't know a thing about professional soccer and couldn't care less about it but I was fascinated with the movie. The same people that were behind Frost/Nixon where involved with this, including the same actor that portrayed David Frost.....forget his name offhand. I liked it so much that I went out and bought the DVD after I watched on Netflix. Good stuff.

I fell asleep during Man on Wire. And I thought the dude was incredibly annoying.

Taking time to do the Netflix recommendation thing is really worth it.
After I 5-starred Castle of Cagliostro, I 1-starred a bunch of Love Hina just so it wouldn't get any ideas.
-
i only liked man on wire because it was one of the first blu rays i ever watched
i think that just means i like blu ray

Hey I watched Castle recently too! Gave it five stars as well.

Then you better downvote some harem animu quick before the Netflix robot brain decides you love the moe.
And since I should recommend something, Planet B-Boy. It's a documentary, so you get a bunch of awesome breakdancing without the awfulness of the Step Up movies.
