What is this, high school? both of you find something better to do with your time.
-
Looks nice and minimal, just the way I like it. I love Chrome but if IE9 is color managed, I'ma jump ship.
Edit: Apparently IE9 does display color managed photos correctly. Hurrrayyyy.

Finally an IE that doesn't look so bad I'd be embarassed to open even in the privacy of my room.
still...no thanks :smug
-
Do you still use Windows XP, PD?
Because IE9 is Vista/7 only.

The only good search site.
I'm with you bro. Both the Map and Video search functions at bing are great.
I wasn't being serious (as usual) but Bing web search results are very lacking compared to Google.
Sure the Image (interface not image results), Video and Maps are great if even better but web results are more important in the end. Hopefully the Bing October update improve it and since I will be buying a Windows Phone 7 I really hope Bing gets better.

Google already stole Bing's image search UI anyway
-
Will you finally be able to copy fucking image urls without having to drag into the address bar?
Also, tabs next to address bar is wtf.

Bing still does it better (when you click on an image) and faster.
And yeah, tabs next to the address bar is weird but this could be an old build anyway.

as much fun as it is to make fun of Bing
they are really, REALLY good for Travel
Google bought a startup to try to bring their Travel search up to snuff, but that's still a few months off
-
I really hate Google's "new" picture search UI. So it's from Bing? No wonder it's shitty
-
I tried doing my searches in both Bing and Google for a while to see which give the most useful results in practice, and found that there's essentially no difference either way. The Silverlight Bing Maps is kinda rad though, but it won't give me mass transit directions so f that :maf

Apparently half this board works for MS.

The bore search engine will soon be powered by Bing.

How does one pronounce the word "yaoi"? I'd like to add this to my real life lexicon.

You can use these rules: http://www.fanboy.co.nz/adblock/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=319
however I cannot seam to turn them on by default when IE starts like this: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/221704-internet-explorer-8-inprivate-filtering-keep.html
gonna try using this: http://simple-adblock.com/ EDIT: feels slower browsing with this. uninstalled.

This method works.
No more ads in my IE9.

I'd use this as my main browser and uninstall Chrome but having the IE9 beta on my computer disables GTA4 on PC for some reason. Don't ask me why.
-
Shit is faster now, little to no hangups so far.
Still, I'd love to see more additions.
-

Good shit so far.
-
When is the official release for IE9? I haven't really bothered messing around with any beta versions but I'd still like to try it out when it hits.
-
I say March.

IE9 is looking sweet so far. How do I export cookies from Firefox?
-
Click on dat star icon --> click on the drop down arrow near "add to favorites" --> import and export.
-
That only lets me import bookmarks. Can I export Firefox's cookies into a file?
-
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/export-cookies/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/cookie-exporter/
Maybe these?
-
Works! Thanks, bro. Finally I can enjoy another amazing MS product.
-
If you guys need an inline spell checker then try this: http://www.speckie.com/home/
It works just as Firefox built in spell checker. Awesome shit that should have been in IE9 by default but what can you do.
-
Come on now, MCD, you should know that IE9 users are too smart for spell checking. :drake
-
Of course. But this isn't about being smart, this is about making our digital realm into a finer place. :drake

When trying to install the Flash player on IE9 64-bit I get a "Flash Player 10.1 is not currently available for Internet Explorer 9 (64-bit) Beta" message. I could've sworn Adobe released a 64-bit Flash player a while back. Is it just not compatible with IE9 or something?
Also is anyone else having any issues with the tracking protection? I have EasyList installed but it still seems to be missing a ton. It's really cool they have this built in to the browser but it's not really going to be all that useful if it only catches a fraction of what ABP does.
-
Try fanboy's lists: http://www.fanboy.co.nz/adblock/ie.html
Also, here is an alternative/unofficial TPL for EasyList/Privacy: http://tpl.funkydude.co.uk/
It might do better in your case.
-
THIS BROWSER OWNS.
It is so FAST.
The ui is great.
Functionality is great.
It's sleek, too!
Only problem is that you STILL don't have a "copy image location" option upon right clicking an image. It's fucking stupid.
-
I requested that numerous times. Sorry Himu, MS are a bunch of baka dicks.
