touch = future of cave shooters
if you don't get this while it is still $4.99 i will make of your asshole such a travesty
-
I plan to and I don't own a compatible ithing yet!
I want to get into these games and I'm more likely to be open to these things on the toilet or while waiting somewhere.
-
Thanks, just downloaded it through Cydia
-
This game is a good game
:bow Cave :bow2
:bow A Japanese developer who actually gets it and includes OpenFeint :bow2

I guess it's a decent distraction until the "real" version of the game comes out later this year for 360.
-
Port it to Windows Phone 7.
-
:lol non-iPhone users :lol
-
post youtube video of it cause I'm too lazy to look it up myself.

Bullet-hell on a touchscreen sounds like the worst idea ever. These games need pixel-precise controls, i.e. d-pads. Will get the 360 version when it's released.
-
Yeah, I really don't understand forumtards and their love of pudgy iphone games that control like shit. I got that der Space Invaders Infinity gene cus its was SO RECOMMENDED/GOOD and it was just an inevitable countdown until the controls killed you. SHMUPS do not work on this device, period. Call me when they release 3ds games.

The touchscreen is actually more precise than a d-pad ever could be. Ask people who have actually, you know, PLAYED a Cave shooter on a touchscreen before saying that.

No it fucking isn't. Ive dabbled in ipod whatever shmups and its always the same pokey imprecise crap. MAYBE if there was a stylus option but thats never going to happen.

I've only watched videos, but the movement does seem pretty precise. Like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIiG44LDThI
Now obviously these games are tailored for the iPhone, so the bullet patterns still have huge gaps for you to swing through. It's not like the arcade games where you need pixel perfect movement to get through some patterns. DDP and Espgaluda are literally the only reason I'd want an iPhone/iPod/iWhatever, so I'll probably never play them. :-\

The generally untrue shit I'm reading in this thread is hilarious.

Android jealousy.
-
I'm sure you mean arcade stick, but I laughed because I thought you meant that Manabyte has never played a shooter before they were on the iphone.

The iPhone version is also much, much easier than the real game.
