Megan Walker’s family say a friend’s bull-mastiff cross attacked the 9-year-old after it heard barking on a Nintendo DS computer game.
The dog, named Saracen, attacked Walker, dragging her off the sofa and proceeded to bite her several times on the floor, before ripping the terrified youngster's lip off.
Walker had been playing the Nintendogs DS game at a friends house in Bolton, when the dog pounced. The attack, which occurred on September 19, resulted in the dog being put down.
Speaking about her ordeal, Walker told the Daily Mail: ‘I turned on the Nintendo. It barked and Saracen dragged me off the couch by my foot. I was scared.'
Thankfully, officers who attended the scene put the piece of lip on ice and the skilled surgeons at Manchester Children’s Hospital were able to re-attach it.
Jean Taylor, Megan’s grandmother, said: 'People should be told not to play it when there are dogs in the room. I blame the game for what happened to Megan.'

If the girl had brought over her pet dog to her friends house and this bull mastiff did the same thing, would they blame the little girl's pet dog? Come on.

you know what i hate?
"bad stuff happens to guys while he was holding a ps2 controller!"
and then i have to read about it everywhere even tough it's related to gaming as much as "man murdered while watching avatar" is related to movies

This wouldn't have happened if she had a PSP.

It's only a matter of time before Prole is mauled to death while playing Dog Island. :(
-
This is what happens when you name a dog Saracen. :(
-
Sounds like a family looking for a quick Nintenbuck.
-
the grandmother blames the game? How about blaming the vicious dog that attacked the young girl?
-
The game provoked the dog, stop being a raging nintard sceneman.

From der wiki: "A Bullmastiff should be confident, yet docile. A Bullmastiff is courageous, extremely loyal to its family, calm, and loving. Bullmastiffs become intensely attached to their families."
...hopefully not attached at the lip.
