I've listened to a show today and while it's entertaining and I like my racy light hearted stuff as much as any guy, I was really looking for something more intellectually stimulating. People with interesting stories or opinions.

Seriously, listen to WTF with Marc Maron. If you hit the right episode he's brilliant, otherwise it's always funny.
Not the typical American radio people stuff.
-
Oh yeah, interesting stories: This American Life.
-
Downloaded a bunch of NPR podcasts and WTF, I'll see what sticks over the coming week.
Kinda funny that for something more deeper you have to go for publicly funded programs. Same way here, the interesting programs here are also on state television.

Point of Inquiry - Good for religion/philosophical/theological discussions. Fantastic podcast.
My list is mostly made up of music podcasts unfortunately so this thread is relevant to my interests:

Was going to post this. Occasionally has Richard Dawkins on destroying creationists.
If you want something science related, and get to listen to awesome australian accents then the Dr Karl podcast is ace.

by the way i never believed for a second that you listened to an episode of the stern show, you lying fuck, as if you listened to 4 hours of talk when you already came in with preconceptions that its "not for you" ::)

why are opie and anthony fans always so angry? :lol

I'm a Stern fan, but I would never recommend him to anybody. He's mediocre now.
I would actually recommend Jay Thomas instead. :lol

I've been listening to some WTF With Marc Maron podcasts, really good. I like the conversations: they're interesting. Something I'll keep following. Thanks Rebiak.
-
The Cruncheons, still the only podcast I listen to.
I probably should take notes, considering that the above is still the case and I need to be entertained at work more than just once a week.
-
If you like stories I recommend This American Life, The Moth, and Snap Judgement. This American Life is probably the best thing that ever was or ever will be on the radio.
It's not the same without Motel 6 commercials :(
