Seriously. I've been wanting to take the kid I Big Brother for to a concert for a long time now.
Linkin Park is coming with Does It Offend You, Yeah?. He likes LP and I like DIOYY so I thought, win win. He'd love it, first concert being a huge spectacle. but Christ the tickets are 80 bucks a piece in shit seats.
So I thought Stars, nope, have to be 18 cause its in a bar.
Interpol, same deal.
The kid's 14, its not like I'm bringing a toddler.
I used to go to shows at that age all the time.
Anyways, figure I'd buy him a copy of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness since it was my favorite album at that age and so he can get in to some better music.
But still, I wanna bring him to a show!

You're such a sweetheart. :)

He should be content with just getting Mellon Collie. I think you have it all figured out.

I used to go to punk concerts in backyards and empty parking lots at that age :rock

First show I ever saw was :bow Nine Inch Nails :bow2
me too, and I was in the pit
close enough to touch
:bow David Bowie :bow2
-
He made a song with them.

I saw NIN and Bowie on that tour. It was AWESOME.

I went to one all ages show and it was terrible. Bunch of kids there just to be seen and or hang out, with little interest in the music.

Music festivals (at least the electronic ones) tend to be all-ages events. I've seen parents bring along their 8 year old kids to these things...

Justin Bieber concert. You could be like their Italin fathers that take their son to a prostitue to lose their virginity.

I saw parents bring their six year olds to the Sufjan Stevens show I saw a couple weeks ago...
