I've been drinking this Georgian wine. I'd tell you what it is but I think CG threw out the bottle.

i thought i was dead the following morning. i think i shat out my intestinal tract. my wife had been pounding tequila shots with the bridesmaids and also got blackout drunk. we just stayed in the hotel room and told everyone we got food poisoning.

Many crazy stories from the day/night we got married, but from the morning after, our friend's crazy drunken cousin shit his pants in front of our friend's girlfriend (and my BFF) at their house while trying to jump a baby gate trying to get to the bathroom, and fucked up the wall and ruined the gate. Witness means no food poisoning fibs.  :'(

My grandmas were crazy. They were BFF's and always tell the tales of getting drunk, coming home at dawn, falling up the stairs. I mean, my brother and sister remember this shit. They were OLD WOMEN so no telling what they did when they were youngins. :rock

I don't know what it is, but good wines don't give me a hangover, bad ones do. Local import store had some lovely tasting Merlot from Australia for ¥600. There was a matching from chardonnay so I grabbed that too. I had maybe three glasses of the merlot, didn't even get much of a buzz because I had them over the course of four hours. I woke up feeling like utter crap. If I drank pretty much anything shown in this thread, I'd be doomed.

OTOH, when I'm dealing with something good, a vineyard I know and maybe it costs a little more, I can drink maybe twice that, get a nice buzz going, and wake up with no consequences the next day.

What's the major difference? Are they MADE OF POISON?

I don't drink a lot of wine anymore.  When I do, though, I like to drink from something out of a local vineyard or a nice piesporter.  Over the past 10 years, wineries have been popping up all over my state.  At first, their wine was shit because they were just importing their products and making it here.  After their vineyards grew in though, they came out with a whole new breed of stuff and it's delicious.

My wife just broke my last good wine glass, in the act of taking it out of the dishwasher (not a Mexican, a special machine for that purpose). I don't know how to keep these precious little things alive for longer than a couple of weeks. They're as fragile as preemie koalas or some shit. And expensive!
