Title: Best racing game for PS3?

Wipeout HD?

I'm feeling like playing a racing game without too much realism (because I suck at racing games), what's the best choice for PS3?

I'm so out of the loop...

Don't play Wipeout if you suck  at racing games. It's pretty hard. But you can master it in a few hours and have a lot of fun though.
Modnation Racers is also fun if you like arcade racers.
Motorstorm 2 is also a great arcade racer.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift is pretty good from what I've played.

Motorstorm, Burnout Paradise I'd say but lots of good stuff in this thread. Good news is that none of it will cost you much.

Burnout Paradise or Wipeout.  Depends on if you want to explore a cool world with lots of content and average difficulty or play through intense rollercoaster tracks with crazy visuals and challenging difficulty.

the new NFS might be good too, but I haven't played.


Motorstorm PR is great, but the two I mentioned are a lot better.

Wipeout HD is the only answer. Game annihilates everything else on any platform.

For arcade racers, Wipeout HD+Fury is the best overall.  I also really enjoyed Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, which is an awesome Mario Kart/Outrun 2 hybrid.  If you can get access to an account that offers the game, Outrun Arcade Online is also very good.

What's good about Modnation Racers, Greenman?  I thought the demo sucked.  Sonic destroys it.

I bought Wipeout, because that didn't require me to leave the house.

I like how every racing game has been mentioned here...
Seeing how I already have Burnout on the PC, Motorstorm 2 seems to be the best choice.
