I got 160 MSbux in an email a while back, so my cost was exactly free-fifty. Anyway, if you don't own it, the deal is good until 10 pm Pacific tonight. Bioshock 2 is on sale for $9.99 today as well, should you choose to punish yourself in such a fashion.
deal over!
Edit: updated title for AoE II Sunday deal
-
Age of Empires 3 is $0.10 for me :lol
-
I had some extra MS points left over from some other purchase and snagged both. :rock
-
Never played an Age of Empires game before. Is it really good? Also, I bought Bioshock even though I really have no real desire to play it in the near future. Is MS doing a new deal everyday? I wouldn't mind seeing Gears or Lost Planet Colonies for $2
If I'm not mistaken, the 7 daily deals were a special for the launch gfw marketplace. I think from now we're only going to get weekly deals.
-
They wont do deals like $2 or 10 cents... they just want people to try the fucking service, which nobody will do anyway
-
I got AoE3 because I finally had a use for those odd spare 60 points I've had forever. Hopefully like Halo 1 is on there for 50 cents and I can buy that and not bother to find my retail copy.
-
I don't see why anyone would pass up AoE III Complete for a dime. That's a game + two expansions for an amount you could probably find looking under any random chair in your home.

Probably not, although I'll bet they at least do some $5 specials through the holidays just to not look horrid in comparison with all the other DD sales going on.
It's right up your alley, though, as you don't have to launch any outside service to play the games

:elephant :elephant :elephant
I have AoE3 Gold Edition DVD (which doesn't include Asian Dynasties) but for a effing dime, yeah, I'll buy that.
-
Just grabbed for 10 points, although I feel like I've bought this before...
-
Amazing deal. Thanks for the heads up. Bought. How long is this going to last?
-
worth it not to dig my discs out of whatever random closet they are in

until 10 pm PST
I think this is the last day for the insane daily deals, although I'd bet they have some Black Friday weekend deals coming up
-
brother, I could spare a dime
-
If only I had a working card right now, fucking Chase

Do you have any left over Xbox Live points? You can just use those if you do.
-
good to know :lol bought

Installed it and played it for a bit. Still looks nice once you bump everything up to max. I've come to realize there is only so much improvement you can do to the graphics in a rts or diablo style game where the camera is way zoomed out. Whether it was made now or like 6 or 7 years ago it looks the same to me.
The UI at the bottom of the screen seems huge though.

Where do you find the Age of Empires III CD key? With Bioshock, it just put it in automatically, but it's not doing it this time and I can't find where I'm supposed to get one.
-
downloads > click on game > view game key
-
Should've known it would be something obvious like that. :-\
-
Bought for a dime. I recall scoffing at it when it originally came out after sinking so much time into Age of Mythologies (god knows why). It's pretty rad, tho.
-
downloads > click on game > view game key
When I do that it says "No Key Assigned"
-
Under "Game Activation Key"? Probably gonna need to delete and re-download if that's the case.
-
according to Cormac they ran out of keys earlier today and will be sending out more later
-
What is this "ran out of keys" thing I've seen crop up lately? It's a code, it's a hash-generated validation string. How can one "run out" of them?

Apparently, for whatever reason, Steam [and other DD services] are allocated a certain number of CD keys by the publisher. When those run out, they have to order more of them.
-
But the publisher is Microsoft...

It's important for most developers/publishers to maintain control of the key generation themselves, otherwise Steam or other digital distribution services could generate "counterfeit" keys themselves and not report the revenue/sales back to the developer. It may seem silly but it works 99% of the time (it only really breaks down when games start being sold for under a quarter)
-
Ha, it's € 39,99 here!
-
Yeah, it was a one day offer.
