Shit I'm at a complete loss as to what to play after finishing Deadly Premonition.
I've got Dead Rising 2 on my backlog still as well as Red Dead Undead, and 1500/1500 on Alan Wake to complete (need to run both DLCs for collectibles and no deaths). Also I want to finish Valkyria Chronicles (up to Chapter 13 currently). Uncharted 2?
Shit I dont know whats going on. Ive got a bad cold and my mind is a mess.
I just got my 800pt rebate from that promotion, any good XBLA shit I can get?
But yeah tell me what to play next and I'll do it. Help me bore. I've got no money for new games so have to make do with whats kicking around
-
clean up Alan Wake 'cheevs, they're really easy and can be done in a couple of hours - (use a guide for collectibles)
after that play Red Undead or get a new XBLA game - maybe Super Meat Boy or the new Pac-Man?
anyway, that's what I would do if I was in your situation. I got such an overwhelming backlog too, tho :(
-
so the no death Alan Wake cheevs arent that bad? Yeah I'll probably make that my first point of call, so I can delete the DLCs and sell my copy of AW. RDR is probably a good option after that, as I find sandbox games pretty easy and relaxing.
I've already got Super Meat Boy but I'm saving that until I feel up for it. Dont feel like having my nuts in a vice atm.
Oh, Ive actually got Puzzle Quest 2 to complete still. Thats a brainless grindathon so may get back into that also.
I was planning on getting the Halo Reach map pack with my 800MSP but I'd rather get a new game with it TBH so I'll check out the new Pac Man game.
-
Yeah, get PacMan.
-
re Alan Wake: yeah the no death runs are quite easy - just on the second DLC, be careful with the godawful platforming sections(especially the rotating house), if your only slightly out of range you might fall to your doom. I won't lie, I died a couple of times during those platforming sections and almost raged, but if your careful, you should be able to do it no problem.
Oh and save up some flares for the mountain passage section, you get swarmed there quite a lot.

Oblivion

I was gonna say, if you have a Wii (don't remember whether or not you do), try and get ahold of Kirby. It's really easy and you don't feel threatened because there is no death in this game (though trying to go for all the secrets and failing can be a bit aggravating). But it's got a charming art style and good level design. I played it a lot when I was burnt out.
-
lol, I completely forgot about my Wii. Maybe I should play some more SMG2. And I'll pir8 Kirby
-
Oblivion
Oblivion
Yaes? :smug
-
lol Oblivion was the joke option, The Sceneman wont even wipe his ass with a stank ass Bethesda game
-
oblivion is a game where you have to make your own fun
fuck around a bit
I usually replay it every year for like a week then get bored and quit
-
lol I'll never play TLR again. Had a lot of fun with it but it's definitely a one hitter quitter
-
lol Oblivion was the joke option, The Sceneman wont even wipe his ass with a stank ass Bethesda game
Nailed it
btw, TLR
I could play it all day every day, there will never be another like it
-
Plants vs Zombies is a good game to relax with
PvZ and Forza are my podcast games. They would be too boring to play without something more interesting going on in the background.
-
alrighty got all the collectibles in Alan Wake The Signal. No death run is gonna blow chunks, I fucked it up this time cos I was running around in those open areas whit infinite enemy spawns looking for alarm clocks. gay gay gay

Just picked The Last Remnant up from a bargain bin sale for my nephew: 480 yen. Wish reading Japanese during games didn't feel so much like homework.
:fbm

Acceptable chronovoracious lexicographical terms for this game+DLC combo are:
- Red Undead Redemption
- Red Dead Resurrection
That is all. :wag

lol.
Whoever decided "no death" cheevs were a good idea in Alan Wake needs an enema. Im too full of beer and frustrated to handle this shit right now.
Where the fuck is Pac Man? I cant find it on the marketplace.
Gahhh need an easy game that isnt Kinectimals cos you have to fucking stand up to play it

Kirby's Epic Yarn?
-
How's about a musou game? Those are great if you want something cathartic.
-
I own Warriors Orochi 1. Maybe...
I think I'm just gonna cabb out over the weekend with Puzzle Quest and Jrpg grinding.
Whoever decided to put those no-death cheevs in Alan Wake needs to be face fucked by a sidewinder missile. I got through all that platforming shit fine then a baddie nudged me over a ledge on the fucking bridge, Argh. Gotta learn to keep my distance
-
dont have it, aint buying it
-
the PAL version isn't so widely available, and retails at a premium :(
IM GONNA 1500/1500 ALAN WAKE yes I am. I'm going to limit the no death runs to one attempt per DLC per day, for my sanity. Honestly I just about kicked my fucking TV over last night
-
The no death runs are easy. You arent trying on Nightmare or anything are you?
-
nah Im trying on Normal. I was just too tipsy and tired to play properly last night, kept on making stupid mistakes. I know the parts to watch out for in each episode now so I should have that shit in the bag. Fuck all the unskipable dialogue
-
just picked up Nier. Hopefully it rules
got Etrian Odyssey 3 also, to play in bed
-
blobivion baby
-
Since when is oblivion a grind game? It is an anti grind game that penalises you for levelling up.
-
Nier is here! Gonna stick it in my slot real soon

Power leveling in Oblivion is one of the funniest grinds ever, I don't know what you played. Basically if you want a good character you need to grind skills, and if you do it right you'll be grinding a few skill sets at a time making it pretty tedious if you're trying to level attributes like Acrobatics.
-
Grinding is pretty detrimental in Oblivion. I beat it at Level 13 or something. Why bother. Shit game too, btw. If that wasnt clear.
-
and btw Im at 1450/1500 in Alan Wake now "just" need to beat The Signal without dying, but it's hard. I keep fucking up the bit with the lamposts and the baddies are swarming. I wanna save my flare gun ammo for the boss...
