So, my brother in law and I are okay friends, but we don't really have anything in common. As a result, every Christmas he buys me NOT the New Yorker subscription I've been asking for for 6 years, but usually some well-intentioned and entirely off video game that I have to Ebay to get what I really wanted.
This year I asked for F.E.A.R. or Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I got Fight Night 3. So, before I put it up on Ebay, should I give it a spin? Would someone who has no interest in sports/boxing games find this deep and/or approachable enough to have a good time with it? Help me out here.

nah, outside of oogling the visuals -- and you can do that with the demo -- it's ass. Sell! :(

Try the demo and see if you like the gameplay. Can be really good but I'd assume it gets repetitive from what I've played at a friend's house. Multiplayer consists of you getting your ass beaten for a few hours, then you might be good. Very, very good graphics though.

It gets repetitive but it's a lot of fun. Nothing wrong with that. It's not a competitive fighter by any means, but it's better than Smash bros. :)

Smash Bros. never gets repetitive.

NEVER.

I like it. I kicked Stocky's ass online the other night. The visuals are impressive too.

I opened it up just to look like a nice guy, so I''ll probably give it a spin. I'm thinking I'll offload it in favor of Marvel: UA. Which is what I asked for, anyway.

I'm having a great time with this so far.
ANYONE WANNA TAKE ON WALLEE JEROME?! Mupepe can explain his back story to you.

It looks great, but I think the gameplay needs a booster. It's mildly fun. Great multi.
