Ha ha ha ha ha
Speak now so I can welcome our new Anonymous overlords to our board
Knew that site was shit
-
HOLY FUCK
SOMEONE JUST CONFIRMED IT
MY PASSWORD WAS COMPROMISED
FUCK YOU GAWKER
FUCK YOU 4CHAN GNOSIS
FUCK YOU BRANDNEW
-
This is much more entertaining to watch unfold than DoS attacks
-
Was it /b/? Or is it that separate Gnosis group? (who probably came from b)
I only focus on v, but I went on b and saw a chubby naked chick thread, so it wasnt so bad.
-
No it's not :'(
-
I spent all night looking up company employees and various GAFfer names. Can't wait to go home and do more.
-
Do you even have a way to decrypt them or are those of the unencrypted ones? lulz if it's the latter.
-
It was more about the experience than the actual result
-
I did years ago. Hopefully it's been purged.
-
My Kotaku account is not approved for commenting.
Whatever that is.
-
Don't have one, never did.
-
I tried to sign up for an account last week but the registration never properly worked. Blessing in disguise!
-
Why would anyone have one, or consider making one? Those sites offer nothing. This should be a wakeup call for anyone.
-
I bet all those email accounts are being integrated into spam lists around the world right now. I pity anyone who used a non-discardable email address. On the other hand, they signed up for kotaku et al, so I guess I already pitied them anyway. Funny how that works sometimes.
-
I don't think I have an account there, but all of this drama made me realize that I have no clue what my password is for this site or GAF. :dur

That's what gets me; I registered 4-5 years ago, and never posted any comments or even log in in all those years, and I still got screwed because hack job thought he had balls to diss a hive of trolls.
-
i posted three times, i think
i'd forgotten i had an account there until this
-
how do you even find out if you made an account on those sites?
I haven't been to gizmodo or kotaku for a long time but who knows, maybe I made on in the past.
-
If all your email and shit starts getting locked out, you probably got hit. So... just wait it out... ha ha ha

copied from gaf:
1. http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/ (http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/)
2. Enter your email address under "Input", and click on "MD5". Copy the "Result".
3. http://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?dsrcid=350662 (http://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?dsrcid=350662)
4. Click on "Show Options" and change the filter to "MD5". Paste the copied "Result" and see if it shows up on search. If ANYTHING shows up on the search result (e.g. xxxx.com where xxxx is the domain of your email address) it does then your password has been compromised and sooner or later will be hacked if they feel like it
i am going to take special delight when i read about a hacker going to prison from now on, imagining the horrified look spreading across their faces as a playboy magazine gets spread open across their backs and 11 inches of convict cockmeat gets dry-crammed into them

I have no idea what gawker site I signed up with or what my password was but apparently I'm in there. Password should be old, shit and not relevant anymore but it still makes me feel uncomfortable...
-
What are you guys talking about?

:rofl
-
I guess they really are arrogant
-
why would you read kotaku?
-
Not just Kotaku. Bunch of other sites were run by Gawker Media
-
serves Kotaku readers right.
-
I have only been to that site like two times in my entire internet history and had no idea what the fuck gawker media was, why would I visit kotaku when I can just lurk gaf?

I did this last night just to be sure. I couldn't remember if I signed up at consumerist or not. Well, I did this and everything looked good. Then, this morning I got an email from gawker saying I do have an account with them. But I cannot remember it at all.
The only why I should be worried is if I use my password for OTHER accounts right? If I have separate passwords there is nothing to be worried about. Right?
-
I stopped going to Kotaku after the tubgirl incident in 2006, and never set up an account.
-
awesome! i thought i signed up when i wanted to enter a shitty contest, but they don't have any of my emails in their database! save me the trouble of changing all my millions of stupid passwords

Same thing just happened to AICN:
