Shure E2c, awesome sound quality. I feel as though I have been missing layers of my music until now because I used crappy headphones.

Are those simulated bass kind? Ive been using uhh god.. phillips earbuds that do this awesome base crap. Its awesome is all I can say.

I don't think so, no. I hear the base quite well, it says in the manual that if I don't hear much base I should switch the earphone sleeves (it comes with three different types) but the ones I use work fine.
Heres the audiophile specs: http://www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/Products/Earphones/ESeries/us_pa_E2c_content

might still be, the phillips tech in my ipod headphones isnt especially new i dont think, I think phillips was more amazed they got something reasonably high tech on a low priced set of earbuds.
Honestly tho a good set of earbuds/headphones can change the wway you hear music entirely.

The cord (really the plastic casing, not the wires) on those keeps on breaking on me, right near the back of the ear where it bends. It's happened with two pair in a row, and a coworker told me she had the same thing happen to hers. Only problem I had with them, although it's a dealbreaker for something relatively expensive.
