Not to derail your thread, and fuck, I LIKED the first Ultimate Avengers, but how did this get like an 8 and Mirrormask gets 2 stars?

I mean honestly, umm the plot of an avengers movie isnt going to be too deep, and thats fine, but Mirrormask probably has the same calibur plot and better visuals and imagintion.

Is it possible IGN thinks to themselves, IT COULD BE WORSE, or some shit like that. But when they look at Mirrormask they think, THIS ISNT THE INCREDIBLES!!!! WTF D-

IGN movie reviews have always boggled me.

I dug the first one, although without its climax its just a mediocre Saturday morning cartoon show, so I hope this one follows the last one!

Yeah, the first one was good. It reminded me of a time when Saturdays offered quality action cartoons that taught us boys how to be a man. Batman. X-Men. Spiderman. Superman. All great cartoon shows.

the first was a little meh because they toned stuff down way too much.  also, what was with iron man being a complete wussy?  all he did was get punched and fly back the entire time.

oh well, here's to hoping ua2 is better.

I'd say it's about on par with the first, maybe a bit worse. Some parts just feel jilted. Like, Captain America will be about to fight this guy on a cliff, then it cuts to other characters and back to Captain America who is now fighting the guy on the ground. Hulk is in it for two seconds. You get to see a shitload of Iron Man suits in his chamber. One gets busted, although I swear in one scene it wasn't broken, but then in the next it was broken again. Thor seems kind of overpowered. Seems like he is a legitimate God instead of the way it was in his Ultimate story.

And not everyone makes it out alive this time!

I just found out that Thor really is a God in the Ultimate universe, so nm about that part.
