Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Christopher Nolan stated, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”
In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.” Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven. “The Dark Knight Rises” is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
Consensus is that it's REAL
Personally, I'm still pretty skeptical that this screenplay is on the level, and Script Flags themselves point out there's a lot here that doesn't quite fit with either Christopher Nolan's previous approach or what is already thought to be known about the movie.
There's no "insider" at WB emailing it to his friends and I can guarantee that there is an extremely limited number of people who have even touched the paper its written on, let along had the chance to read it. If you come across this story anywhere else online, be sure to ignore it.
There’s a rumor going around today that The Dark Knight Rises script has leaked. That’s simply not true.
The script for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has absolutely not been leaked -- either on purpose or accidentally. How do I know? I checked with Warner Bros.! It’s total and complete BS.

And this "news" is nearly a month old.
A few weeks ago rumors spread like wildfire that a leaked copy of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises script had found its way online, the story originated via a user over at SuperHeroHype's forums and was later de-bunked by sites that got in touch with Warner. The "leaked script" contained elements that had largely been rumored for some time, i.e Catwoman, Talia Al Ghul, Sarah Essen, Hugo Strange, Killer Croc and even included a Bat Chopper. It soon became clear that no "leaked script" existed. Today an actual script has been forwarded to us entitled "The Dark Knight Rises" and if it is fake, its the best fake we have ever come across. 165 pages long dated October 2010 and written by Jonathan Nolan & David Goyer with story by Christopher Nolan. Its is a seriously well constructed and contained work that bears no traits normal fakes harbor.
yeah there is no way this is a fake.
distinguished mentally-challenged ending::lol :lol :lol :lolspoiler (click to show/hide)Gordon on rooftop again, sans glasses so he's as blind as a bat (HE ACTUALLY SAYS THAT)
Batman appears says "I trust you", and rips off his mask.
Gordon turns away "I'm blind as a bat for a REASON!"[close]
:rofl

They put "I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch!" in X3. That didn't surprise me at all in this.

1. Goyer co-wrote it. So to hold it to some Nolan golden pedestal is stupid.
You're good for a 3 month ban bet manabyte?

This isn't gaf dude, even if its real this is just the first draft so a lot of things are going to change.
You people who think it's fake, just have to look harder and find the script within the script.
It's not like Nolan writing is some great standard that everything should be held to. It's usually pretty cheesy.

Meh, I would rather have the villains from the fake script, bane is really shitty also Rachel Weiz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anne.
there's no way Tom Hardy could be buff enough for Bane.
Bane is the Venom of Batman. Dark Knight Rises = Spider-Man 3

Manabyte :rofl :rofl
Venom isn't cool.
I would have also prefer the chick from The Prestige and Vicky Christina Barcelona as Catwoman, tbh Hathaway is my least favorite out of the shortlist they had.
Is this the part where we laugh at manabyte?
thats always my favorite part.
:lol
Bane and Catwoman? meh
so does this make the script leak true then?
I like that Catwoman isn't even mentioned. It would be hilarious if there is Selina Kyle is just Selina Kyle the entire movie.

That would be pretty shitty.
Hopefully they don't pull a Dark Knight and have an awesome movie and then be like btw here's another bad guy for 20 minutes.
Bane? Catwoman?
Nolan lost it.
Well, to be fair with Begins, they made it pretty obvious in the beginning that Ducard/Al-Ghul was a villain. Whereas in Dark Knight, even though we were familiar with Dent's history in the Batman lore, it wasn't obvious that he was going to be Two-face.
I don't know, I didn't really care about that like you did. A bit Spider-man 3 like, sure, but way more compelling.
Bane will be the villain for the first 2 hours, then Selena becomes Catwoman for the last 30 minutes after Bruce breaks up with her. Large battle ensues, Bane kills Catwoman thus causing Batman to finally break his "no killing" rule. Disgusted with himself, Batman retreats to the Bat Cave and watches surveillance video of Selena, crying. He then stumbles across a hidden video that reveals Alfred killed his parents and works for Ra's Al Ghul. Cue exposition scene, end with Batman opening his eyes. Then Alfred appears in the doorway and asks "something wrong Master Wayne?" Closeup shot of Batman's face.
THE END
I like that Catwoman isn't even mentioned. It would be hilarious if there is Selina Kyle is just Selina Kyle the entire movie.
That would be pretty shitty.
Do you honestly expect Catwoman to be in this? I think "just Selina Kyle" is exactly what will happen.
Hey! Green Lantern looks good in the trailers!
Reynolds is far more hot sorry
I just hope that if Bane breaks Batman they fix his back using magic like in that wonderful story line that everyone seems to love.

Bale just growls and mugs the camera, I have no idea how welsh that is but that's not good acting.Reynolds is far more hot sorry
Nope, he has the face of an idiot and a annoying voice, Bale has a nice looking face and a badass welsh accent.
Regardless of how the film turns out, I can't fucking wait to hear Nolan fanboys explain how Bane could really happen in real life.
no one saw bronson?
