I think that Batiatus will be forced to sell Ganicus and then Crixus will rise to fame for eventually killing Ganicus.  Of course, Vettius and Tullius will be dead before the season is over.

i watched the entire first season over this weekend. SHIT IS SO CASH. i was shocked at how well it was plotted and how the story unfurled. enjoyed every bit of it. favorite character - Ashur.

fuckin sucks about Andy Whitfield - sucks even further that they're replacing him for season 2

starting this prequel stuff now.

The fight choreography is a lot better this season, and I love that they replaced that horrible CGI blood with "real" fake blood.

I'm really curious how S2 will play out

Batiatus was the foundation of the show imo, and I'm not sure such a great character can be replaced. I'd imagine Spartacus will be freeing other gladiators while the Roman guy and his wife try to stop him. Will the show focus on another lanista/house, perhaps the first one Spartacus attempts to free?

Also how would they have a "I'm Spartacus" moment when the entire city knows what he looks like; not saying that'll happen in S2, just curious.

Great ep. Seeing the origin of Crixus is cool; you really get to see not only why he's such a great champion, but why he's so respected by his fellow gladiators and his owners.

God damn John Hannah so owns this show. He turned The Mummy from a standard adventure flick into a hilarious, entertaining popcorn movie - and he has really made this show great. Really dunno how S2 will play out

Doctore's wife death scene was disturbing due the angle they use while she was struggling (her eyes seems to be looking right at the viewer).

And i guess Crixus will get his haircut after the battle royal so as to look more presentable to Lucretia (plus he might be champion of Capua during that time as well).

oh so Gannicus isn't made up? they probably took liberties by putting in the same ludus as the one Spartacus broke out i'm gonna assume. cool though that he's a real dude. i enjoyed him as a character more than I did Spartacus in season 1.

Yeah he definitely looked a lot smaller during the whole season, his haircut was pretty awesome.
