I think it's a great idea to inspire even more generations into becoming furries.

One of my first erections was caused by Cheetara, this one looks like a cheeseburger with a bad boob job and the original Lion-O could eat this one for breakfast.

I always thought the opening animation from the original was cool, but as a kid I hated the show itself.

Post by: Shaka Khan on January 26, 2011, 02:31:55 PM
I was never a fan as a kid too, I was too busy watching Super Robots and Silverhawks. That's how I became so awesome.

Panthro looks just like a furry version of Jet from Cowboy Bebop.

Also Cheetara always looked like a cheeseburger, I never understood her appeal.

I liked Thundercats but just like every 80's cartoon ever, the intro was 10x better than the show itself.
Title: Re: Studio4°C’s Thundercats
Post by: Mr. Gundam on January 26, 2011, 03:26:51 PM
The opening always got me pumped up, but then show started and I remembered just how cheesy it was.

I wish I could TMNT's classic intro on yt. That intro always got me pumped up.

The only 80's cartoon I can think of that's not anime, whose show is actually as good as its intro is Robotech and I mean the first season that covers SDF Macross.

But it really was anime. The first season of Robotech isn't very different from SDF Macross.

Voltron was changed enough from it's source material that I could see the arguement about it not being "anime" anymore, but Robotech season one? Yeah, it was just a localized SDF Macross.
Title: Re: Studio4°C’s Thundercats
Post by: Shaka Khan on January 26, 2011, 03:37:06 PM
Show was terrible, as was Silver Hawks which is essentially the same fucking show.

Silverhawks is Thundercats but in space and without the furries, how the hell is that not 10 times better?
Title: Re: Studio4°C’s Thundercats
Post by: Himu on January 26, 2011, 03:38:10 PM
I didn't say it was it wasn't anime, phrased the sentence wrong. :p

In any case, I can't think of a single 80's cartoon that was awesome as its intro aside from maybe The Jetsons and fucking Scooby Doo dammit.

I quit Scooby Doo for the same reason I quickly quit Power Rangers.  It was super obvious how repetitive and uninspired every episode was.  I remember how in Power Rangers EVERY single episode ended with them summoning the megazord's sword and killing the monster.

I even disliked Scooby Doo as a kid, along with nearly all of the other Hanna-Barbera cartoons.  I did like Jonny Quest and Wacky Races, tho.  And the Herculoids.

In Rock Band, they've got that one girl character with the cheetah fur tank top. She kinda reminds me of Velma for some reason. Must be the glasses and haircut. She's a little thick in the caboose, too. :drool

I keep hearing good things about this show and remember so little from when I was a kid. What's so good about this show? Scooby-Doo Kids, specifically.

A Pup Named Scooby Doo made the characters have more dynamic personality quirks. For example, Fred was obsessed with the occult, mysteries, conspiracy theories and was a cartoon version of Manabyte.

So I can definitely see the appeal of A Pup Named Scooby Doo. Personally, the latest one currently on CN is the best one in a long time. It owns.

The appeal of Scooby Doo comes from not from the WHO DID IT aspect because it's usually obvious who did it, but HOW DID THEY COVER THEIR TRACKS?! which is half the fun.

Dude, I'm a Nintendo Manbaby. I quit Power Rangers and Scooby Doo when I was, like, 9.

Pup Named Scooby Doo was cheaply made trash, too. The only funny thing about it is there is character literally named Red Herring.

Hadda look it up; it's "Dora Sullivan." Apparently some people hate her, and others are weirdly obsessed with her. Like with Velma.  :-\
