SEGA Rally Online Arcade, a new HD title inspired by SEGA Rally Revo and SEGA Rally 3, will be racing onto PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in 2011. SEGA's arcade and console favorite will include a collection of new features, including the ability for gamers to race their friends online!
SEGA Rally Online Arcade brings back all the features players could want from the popular arcade and console racers, including Championship Battle mode and Time Attack, while adding an exciting online racing mode that lets players battle it out with up to five drivers around the world. Featuring a brand new achievement system, 13 rally cars to choose from and online leaderboards, SEGA Rally Online Arcade will deliver lap after lap of intense rally action when it arrives on consoles in 2011.

qft, would it actually kill Sega to do what the fans want for a change?!
-
Because of Dirt, I never played Revo enough to figure out its quality. It was probably pretty good though because MAF loved it. The 2nd game is still my favorite in the series and in my top 5 all-time rally games along with Mobil 1, Colin McRae 4, Rallisports 2 and Dirt.

according to this its out on the 27th. Could be good
-
any reason to get this if i already own sega rally revo?
-
online play, achievements, HD graphics
-
Looks like a pretty simple 200. :)
wtf if this is coming out on the 27th though. This month has been distinguished mentally-challenged for XBLA between that big sale and awesome games coming out back to back to back to back to back to back. My XBLA backlog suddenly got 2x larger.

online play, achievements, HD graphics
so sega rally revo wasn't HD? :lol
-
Wario, where have you been?
-
wtf

Releases May 18.
-
My body is ready. Arcade racers are the only thing Sega's good for anyways, hopefully Daytona USA is next.
-
why isnt Monkey Island 2 on sale? What a crock.
Is Age of Booty worth 200 points?
-
I think so, it's a steal at that price.
Is Deadliest Warrior any good? I may grab that at half price.
-
I just like the title - "Age of Booty", lol. Apparently it's some Pirate RTS. I'll check the trial version.
Deadliest Warrior is supposed to be "so bad it's good". Apparently very high camp. Those fighting games with characters through history are always pretty funny. What was the SNK game again? World Heroes? That was fucking funny
-
It's not really an RTS, it's more of a party game. I don't think it's very good.
-
typical sega post 2001.
-
jesus - i should pay more attention. I was expecting a HD Sega Rally 1-2 lol.
So this is Revo - complete with 30fps. It does touch 60fps in the menus... but has slow down :/
Did one race and deleted this. Too bad it wasn't one of the original arcade games.
-
The trial was terrible. 1 race and that's all? AND that one race is a same race that's in Revo except here it looks worse? Yeaaaaaah. Deleted.
Wasn't this the game where somebody who worked on it on gaf was like "woah, I thought they had canned it" when it was first announced?
-
Yeah, just tried the demo. It's okay, it controls well and looks pretty nice. But it seems like it's REALLY light on content. Only 3 cars and 4 tracks? And it's only 30 fps? Meh.
I'd buy it if I were swimming in points, but for now I'll wait for a sale. Gotta pick up Clash of Heroes HD, Outland, and Dishwasher 2 first.
-
Pass.

back in my day SEGA Rally cost $60 and only had three cars and four tracks and you had to unlock one of each
get a real job you bum
But back in the day, Sega Rally was GOOD and worth that $60 ($60? Hell, $65-$70!).

Oh look, another Sega franchise that all the fanboys scream about remaking and then it turns out to be shit. What a huge surprise! Oh well, I'm sure the next one will be different and worth getting hyped about!

It's not THAT bad, just light on content.

erm, sumo digital did *this* game
Revo was reaaaaaaaaaaaaally good. Love it, love it, love it.
The demo for this game felt very average. Worse graphics than Revo, worse physics than Revo, dumbed down driving model and apparently very little content.
Are we sure this was by the same people? Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast is amazing. Revo is amazing. This, albiet from the trial, does not seem amazing or even worth $10.
-
I was never big on Sega Rally. I was always more of a Daytona fan. How is that recent Daytona project shaping up to be?
-
=/
Is it coming to consoles?
-
Revo and Coast 2 Coast were different. Revo was SEGA Racing Studio, who were set to be closed after SEGA Rally Revo and SR3 bombed, but were at the last minute bought out by Codemasters. Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast was Sumo. Anyway, though this particular version is being credited to Sumo here and there, upon further digging, I don't think this is theirs.
I'm actually kind of worried about Sumo... their last project for SEGA was the partial disaster SSASR, and the major disaster VT2009. Looks like they're in bill-paying mode right now, hope the rumours of another SEGA All-Star Racing are true.
edit: or is it? Xbox.com says Sumo. Fuck it, no idea. /shrug
Oh, whoops I forgot Revo was SEGA Racing Studio who were ummm ex...somebody somebody good racing dev team members (can't remember who). No wonder Revo was such a good racer. I do like Sumo though; Virtua Tennis and Outrun were great.

30 fps = no sale :'(
