Summary: The poster, Gareth, has a disability where he can't use his hands. So his solution is to play with his head. He has played games like this for 20 years. He bought Dead Space 2 and can't play it because he can't use the mouse to walk so he made a post about it and showed proof that he plays games like this. Now there are petitions that all games should offer universal customization to button config and even people at Visceral (the people who developed Dead Space 2) are looking into making it possible for the guy to play DS2 via patch.

yeah, I saw this last night and it's pretty incredible. There is more going on in that thread with people looking for easier ways for him to play games, like TrackIR (basically very precise headtracking) and other options that aren't too costly.
All this stuff took off fast. The petition is more of a general thing stressing the need for fully customizable controls using these extreme situations as examples.

he was getting 50 to 60 fps in New Vegas and it looked choppy in video, so it's probably the software. I mean, that's pretty good for New Vegas, all things considered (obsidian game).

if thats what it takes than thats what it takes. remember the uproar caused by ass creeds lack of subtitles? customizable controls are such an easy thing to implement that i cant imagine its anything more than laziness or stubbornness thats keeping devs from doing it.
