With my internet fubar'd last night I decided to play some real videogames that don't require online access. Portal is pretty fun. Is there a timer or something for the levels cuz I took awhile to complete some, don't want to look dumb if Steam posts all my times in the end

No timer. Amazing game. Play HL2 episodes :)
There is a time trial mode, however, to my memory.

What a mindfuck after 10 levels when I realized the girl in the portals was me all that time :o

I can understand how this can happen (assuming you're not joking). Especially when you aren't 100% focused on everything in a game, this mistake can be made by subconsciously thinking that the person in the portal is some sort of weird doppelganger or some shit.

:lol
I'm planning on doing a speedrun this weekend. If it's released early on Steam I'm screwed though.

Glad to see PD left his glorified chatroom for a few hours to play a real game. :rock

wow u r dumb pd
this game is bad. i am at puzzle 19 but it was boring and i dont even want to finish it plus it makes me sick.

Funny, I had no issues playing it on the Orange Box but when I tried Portal Still Alive it made me feel ill

Portal's awesome. It's a great fusion of first-person gameplay and puzzle solving, definitely a unique experience in an industry packed with cookie-cutter, me-too knockoffs. It's like Mirror's Edge [a fusion of genres with amazing art and great music], but without the really frustrating parts to detract from the things that work really well.

If you played it in 2007, before the memes were ran into the ground, then it would have came off as one of the funniest games ever. That's one reason I want to play Portal 2 before the internet ruins another good thing.

Just don't read GAF. Problem solved.

I'm not familiar with the memes because I don't pay attention to most PC threads. All I know is that there's something about cake and apparently the end credits song is good according to nerds

the end credit song is rubbish, only lauded by those who know nothing of good game music

Yea, very boring game.

This reminds me.
I have to play Portal 2 all the way through before I read an internet forum on launch. Gotta enjoy the jokes a little bit before Joe Fuckface runs them into the ground on the internet.
OMG IT'S HUMOR THAT DOESN'T TAKE ME FOR A COMPLETE REATARD!11~
