I'll never understand indie developers' love for shoehorning things like stories and VAs into their lite and humble projects.

Why can't they settle for "The princess is another castle" plot device* until they start working on bigger projects, that actually requires some of those those elements, and have the right amount of resources to pull it off?

I just don't see how it adds any value. Just give me the damn game, and stop pimping scripts you've written back when you were 17.

There's a reason why people keep accusing them of pretentiousness, and cheaply building up their games into things they're not.

* Blow's interpretation can go fuck itself.

Really impressive project in terms of scope, for an indie game... but the gameplay doesn't really work for me... I'm not really into rhythm games (apart from DJ Hero of course)...

I don't know who was asking for rythym gameplay in an RPG. Genre mashups aren't always good.

Seems like something stupid you'd do in GameDev Story

Haven't played it myself yet and I'm not really a fan of DDR style music games but I'll probably go ahead and spend the 240 points on it and give it a try this week or something.
