Title: Grabbing drinks with friends from high school gets weirder and weirder

You run out of shit to say each time you meet up with them.  All I could think of tonight was, "soooo....how was last semester for you?"

Sooner or later its going to be "so, how are your kids?"  and thats going to be so fucking weird.

most of my best friends are guys I went to high school with, and I'm 25. I guess I was just lucky to have such a tight group of friends in my high school days.

oh I mean, my best friends at college are friends from high school, but our other group of high school friends just...it feels weird to talk about shit with.

I'm fb friends w/ a lot of peeps from both of the high schools i went to, but that's about it.

Outside of 1 guy who I talk to once a year, yeah. 

I still keep up with a few of my college friends though.  But not regularly.  Most of my friends are people I met outside of school ties.

There's no reason that you have to stay friends with these people...

People grow up, they change. Welcome to adulthood.

It's funny, I went to high school with one of my closest friends, but we weren't friends in high school.

Rarely.

I still hang out with a lot of my old friends from time to time.  All I can say without being a total douche (too late) is that I'm very glad that I went to school and got a decent job that pays the bills.

i dont talk to anyone from high school except one dude and I did that on purpose I hated all my friends in high school, bunch of goody goody anime losers. i ahven't really talked to any of them since graduation, but now that theyre getting into drugs i've been thinking of talking to them for some free weed

I still keep in touch with a few buds from HS and I graduated in '93. 2 live in LA, 1 in Murfreesboro TN, and 1 still lives here. Even almost 20 years later, around xmas time, if you go to the right bar it's like a reunion as everyone is home visiting their parents.

The last time I lived in London, KY..... yuck. There was tehjaybo, which was awesome, but that was about it. All sorts of other people from my old high school I had forgotten about or didn't necessarily want to hang out with on a regular basis.
