We are excited to reveal our brand new universe and game during the EA Press Conference on Monday, 12:30 PDT, on SpikeTV #fb
why is E3 starting on a monday though? Doesn't Friday or Saturday make more sense...
I remember when E3 was one of the most exciting moments of the year for me. I didn't even realize until a few days ago that it was next week.

DUST 514, the FPS console counterpart to CCP's sci-fi MMO EVE Online, is due for a big announcement at E3 2011 if this countdown clock is any indication. One fan went poking around through the site shortly after it went live and found some interesting things, since removed.
First would be these seven screenshots (gallery below), all of which appear to be new. Our tipster found a .jpg in a URL left exposed, ran the filename from 01 to 07, and came up with these. Note the PS3 branding at the bottom of the screenshots.
The tipster says he then found the .xml file that will replace the countdown once it reaches zero, and that page directs viewers to the PlayStation Blog after the end of DUST 514's live-streamed announcement.

The horror starts at 1:30
If this is what this year's E3 is going to amount to, the majority of my time is going to be spent getting drunk and reading books on my kindle
eugh, watching kudo reach out and hug a non-existent mickey mouse is literally the worst thing i have ever seen in this hobby

still doesn't make sense why they don't put it on PC when the entire audience of EVE is on PC
they really want you running EVE and dust 514 at the same time. alt-tab solve that problem.

Look like that's eve online connected shooter dust 514 is now a ps3 exclusive.

Enjoy that bomba, then. PS3 users don't care about anything online other than Call of Duty.
If they aren't making a PC version then I don't know why they aren't doing a 360 version. It's not like Microsoft is going to stop them from Dust interacting with EVE online because PC to 360 interactions have happened and still do. And it's not like Sony would have signed off on playing against 360 dudes, either. Weird.
Personally, I thought the game looked pretty neat. Graphically nice and seemed like a scaled down Planetside. The interaction with EVE seemed neat as well. Giving people an option to enjoy that universe when maybe they don't enjoy or have trouble with playing EVE. I know that feeling. I just want to stab dudes in the back and fuck their entire game up.
That fake Cactus gamelist with Snatcher and Metal Saga has me :o
Because, who the hell would namedrop Metal Max/Saga out of all games? Where the hell did that even come from?
I was able to get hands-on time with most of Sony’s big games before E3 2011. The following are some thoughts on these games as well as videos that show you more of what’s in store for each title. Sony’s press conference will announce some additional titles, including a new God of War 3D adventure, but these five titles should help drive sales of PS3 hardware this year and also keep PS3 gamers happy now that the hacking incident is over.
so any actual news yet? Is the MS conference today?Yes,about 7 hours left
New GOW? Wow another game in a big franchise, I never expected it
e3 is full of surprises.
Activision’s E3 Slate Includes:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Co-developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, Modern Warfare® 3 is set in a world on the edge of annihilation as Makarov and his terrorist organization unleash destruction and chaos across the globe. Playing as a member of several special-forces units and armed with the most advanced weaponry, players work with Delta operators and reunite with familiar characters to enter a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse as they race across the globe to stop a mad man before it’s too late. Modern Warfare 3 advances the 60 fps Modern Warfare tech to deliver exhilarating, action-packed experiences across Single Player, Special Ops and Online Multiplayer modes.
Call of Duty Elite – Designed from the ground up to integrate with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty Elite gives players unprecedented control over their multiplayer experience, transforming it into a true social experience. The innovative online service ups the ante of any free service by offering a range of innovations on well-established multiplayer features, such as leaderboards, heat maps, and rich player data. Several other Elite features are completely new to the industry. For example, with Elite’s new Groups feature players can join custom groups based on their likes, interests, or affiliations, and then have those groups follow you directly into the game. Additionally, players can customize weapons, attachments and perks and push them directly into the game menu. Those gamers who want to continue to play multiplayer out of the box, or purchase downloadable content à la carte throughout the year can continue to do so.
Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure – Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure is an innovative new universe that brings the world of toys, video games and the Internet together in an unprecedented way. Bob McKenzie, SVP of merchandising at GameStop has stated that Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders have already kicked-off at “a record-setting pace,” and are already outpacing Black Ops which itself beat out previous record-holder Modern Warfare 2 – a title which “previously set the industry standard”.
“Last year, Call of Duty: Black Ops became the most pre-ordered title in our history,” said McKenzie in a press release.
“Already, this year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is significantly ahead of that pace. Our customers’ response to the reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been amazing.”

Don't forget that Final Fantasy XIII-2 is awesome.
Has anyone played EDF Insect Armaggedon on the floor? Binary Domain?
I played it at PAX.
Its terrible.
I just held the WiiU controller. Wow it's big. Traditional games on this are going to hurt your hands something awful.
Played Dead Island. It has a Borderlands style skill tree which is awesome. Kind of like Far Cry plus zombies, open world and very nice graphics. I also raided a trash can and got deodorant to use in the crafting system :lol I will definitely buy this one.
Binary Domain looks TERRIBLE. Incredibad Gears clone.
The last time I cared about Twisted Metal was back in 1995. Never again.
Eric Chahi demoed From Dust for me!!! It was doing a lot of cool dynamic terrain and fluid dynamics.
you lived through the wii thing and you're *still* okay with what MS is doing here? you know how this ends! it's not too late, mcd!:lol
You cant be an xbot through piracy... gotta have that love and support that only a bank account can provide
But surely that guy has to answer to Mattrick in some way. He controls the entire games division.

EA Games Label president Frank Gibeau said during an E3 meeting this morning that the firm plans to alternate Battlefield and Medal of Honor releases on an annual basis, and will release Respawn’s project when it sees an “opportunistic” window for what he called a “sci-fi shooter”.
According to Gibeau: “In general we’re going to continue to follow our rotation strategy of giving studios a full two-year cycle to get a game built and polished to maximum quality, but we’re going to do it in a way that allows us to maximize technology investments like Frostbite 2, the online service models that we’re doing… we’re going to be able to trade team knowledge and increase the quality of the products year in, year out,” he said.
“The idea is to have that rotation happen with Battlefield and Medal of Honor and keep it fresh so you don’t burn the teams down or over-annualize the product lines. Titles like Respawn – and I think the Insomniac title is a little bit more of an action game than a pure shooter – we’ll sprinkle those in where we see opportunistic gaps, either in a release schedule or in a genre standpoint.
“Those typically are more sci-fi oriented shooters, where as the Medal of Honor and Battlefield brands are obviously more modern military oriented. So it allows us to pick and choose the best of the sci-fi shooters. It allows us to compete with things like Gears and Halo and put them on places in our release calendar where they’re not cannibalistic to the core business and that’s the essential strategy going forward.”
It has along been the rumor that Respawn’s title for EA Partners was a sci-fi shooter, and Gibeau’s comment pretty much confirms it.

The latest masterpiece from Tak Fuji. It's kinda a sequel to that game X-Blades...
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2011-blades-of/715792
It actually doesn't look terrible but it doesn't look great either, Whatever though, Tak Fuji is awesome.
You guys played X-Blades? A few minutes of the demo was all I could handle of that crap.
