I will think of better formating weekly PS3 news in the future.

Keep in mind this is linear, moody, environmental story piece. It's also really old code as it had to get on the Battle: LA Blu-ray months ago.
I still think i you turn up the sound and turn off the lights, you'll have a good time and get a great feel for the tone of R3.

Same as EA Online Pass?
:piss Sony :piss2
From Singaporean PS+ I was gonna try the Soldner X game, go to download and read the details, it's a 30 minute demo and the time it takes to patch the game is included in that 30 minutes :lol
"This is an important initiative as it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhancing premium online services across our first party game portfolio."
From IGN.QuoteSCEA responded to requests for comment this morning to clarify, saying this program requires customers to input a one-time use code to access a game's online capabilities, similar to EA's Online Pass introduced last year.
"We are always evaluating new programs for our online offering, and starting with Resistance 3 this September, we will be instituting a network pass program for PS3 games with online capabilities," the spokesperson said. "This program will be game-specific. Games that are a part of this program will include a single-use registration code that grants the account holder redeeming the code full online access for that title.

If you don't have a code to input, say if you purchase a game used, you'll have to buy one through the Store. It's unclear how much one of these PSN Pass codes will cost, however. Sony said it will announce additional details at a later date.
lol Sony
It's not dumb, it's rude and anti-consumer. The whole media industry pushed for this HDTV upgrade, but have exerted tremendous effort in excluding anything but HDMI from the party. It's one thing to offer continued feature improvements via updates, but this horseshit of taking away existing features cloaked in "upgrades" should he met with class action lawsuits, clubs, and pitchforks.
Quote from: MethodisIt was actually because the name was terrible. Consumers confused them for the same as DVD's and if they're already thinking "i can get this on regular DVD for $10 cheaper why buy the HD-DVD version"
I had to unignore you for a second.
You are distinguished mentally-challenged.
MS tried to push an inferior standard (LOL HD-DVD) down your throats just to annoy Sony.
Don't ever address Sony in the area of HD movie playback, maxy, you idiot,
Did you download Magic or Bomberman? People are saying those are free regardless.
"i can get this on regular DVD for $10 cheaper why buy the HD-DVD version"Ironically,blu-ray also has this problem.
Not by choice of Sony. The HD Council is making any future device do this. It won't effect pre-existing devices only future made ones.

Hey, Rocket Science, I own a PS3 right now. It's a device in my home right now, not one which I'll buy in the future, it's a device from which Sony are again planning on removing an existing feature.
This isn't Backward-Compatibility being removed from v.2 of the hardware, they're talking about requiring an upgrade to maintain parity with PSN, the Store, multiplayer gaming, but it will intentionally and needlessly remove a feature which I've been enjoying.

The new CECH-3000 series PS3 requires HDMI only for BD movie output in HD, in compliance with AACS standards. PS3 continues to support component output for HD gaming and streaming content.
How is this a surprise!? I've known this for +5 years

Ugh... I had hoped they would can this ad campaign.
But are you really surprised that Sony doesn't understand what made it great to begin with?
Wand $25
Navigation Controller $15
Charging Station $15
Sharpshooter $20
PlayStation Move Heroes $10
The Fight: Lights Out $10
